We have all seen threads where people's Xbox's have died. Mine has suffered that fate for the fourth time. I did the usual, phoned Microsoft, then 10 minutes after the call a Superior from the contact centre called me back with a very warming apology, the repair process has changed significantly with a new repair centre & repair guys, so hopefully it will not happen again. He then went on to offer me a free game & accessory. Either Gears Of War, Viva Pinata, PGR3, Kameo or Perfect Darl (Problem is I already own(ed) all of them. Plus controller, wireless headset, memory unit or plug & play kit. Nice gesture, makes a change from the usual why they treat us. So well done Micrsoft & thank you for making me feel like an important customer!

I've only had my xbox break once, but I had the Gamestop warranty and got a new one quickly. Only problem was-

Recovering my gamertag took like 2 hours... Wtf?

well that's nice, but i feel lucky that i've only had to have one get replaced. however, i didn't have to wait because i bought mine at gamestop. i suggest you do this because they have a one year warranty where if it breaks, you simply bring it in with everything that came in the box and they give you a new one right there at the store. it is nice though that the Microsoft guy offered you that stuff.

This thread isn't about another Xbox fault. It's about Microsoft taking care of us for once and offering a positive experience we are not used to, I was'nt expecting it. Anybody else had the same treatment yet?

I'm sorry to say, but I hate M$ Tech Support! 3 phones calls equaled to about 2 hrs. wasted from my life. Not to mention the radiation from my phone.:p Seriously, they take forever handling my problem. But at the very end...they do take care of it. Send me an empty box, put my dead 360 in, send it back, wait for about 1 1/2 weeks, and I get a refurbished console back. I've had 2 360's die on me within the past year. I hope three times the charm! *Knocks on Wood* It really irritates me when they keep asking me the same damn questions over and over again. Then they transfer me to a "supervisor" and they ask me the same damn questions over and over again. *Sigh* I am praying my 360 doesn't die. I don't want to call M$ again.

P.S. They never offered me jack...
