E3 2011: Beyond Good & Evil 2 Skipping This Generation

Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development, but it won't launch on this generation of consoles.

"[Beyond Good & Evil 2] is still alive and we are very far [into] development so we can't go back now," Ubisoft designer Michel Ancel told GIBiz. "We are targeting the next generation of consoles."

A trailer for Beyond Good & Evil 2 was first shown in 2008. Since then, the publisher has been quiet on releasing more details about the title.

Son of a...well, that'll be just another reason to get the next Xbox console for me.

I played the original, but never beat the final boss until the HD version came out... now I'm really clamoring for a sequel! This game had what most movies and almost all games lack nowadays: heart. As long as they keep that alive in the sequel, then they will get my money. :)
