Can enyone tell me why i cant speak to a certain friend on my friends list and i can speak to everyone else?

If you can't talk to your friend in private chat (i.e. he can't get into the chat room), then either you or your friend's NAT settings are Strict. If it's in-game, you probably muted them on accident.

No need to triple post. It can be fixed, Ask him if his NAT settings are strict. If they are. Then he just has to change them.

tell your friend to check his family settings. he could have them set so he cant communicate

check your connection settings and have him do the same. there may be a problem with your routers though like said earlier. i have had this problem once before, but it went away within a few hours. nice sig btw.
