I wrote this article at WPCentral about WP7 games with Broken Achievements (http://www.wpcentral.com/broken-xbox-live-achievements-windows-phone). It's semi-up-to-date except that I won't be adding news games to it. Rather I'll do a second article in the future. But for now, here's a list that should be accurate.

Games with glitched Achievements:

Apparantly Revolution was patched and Enigmo is being patched later on (Rumor)

Oh yeah, both games will be patched (Revolution's hasn't happened yet). It's mainly a problem of Microsoft dragging their heels on actually publishing the patches - maybe the article will give them a little nudge.

As for crackdown 2 having wrote the guide for it... I've noticed that the main reason why people cant unlock most of the achievements is because they are using 3G internet instead of wi-fi to unlock them so sometimes it doesnt register.

Also sometimes they dont have friends with a actualy windows phone or with the game so their friends list wont show unless they have a friend.

But I cant confirm either way because I havnt played the game since I finished it...

I have noticed that sometimes, for WP7 games, the achievement descriptions read differently when viewed on a 360, as opposed to when viewed on the phone. For example, for the gold medal achievement for Hydro Thunder, when I looked at it on my 360, the description actually mentions the need for it to be done with an expert boat. I have not unlocked the achievement, so it was not down to that. I have also seen this with other games, but cannot remember which ones, sorry. Doubtless this makes things more difficult.

Also, may I suggest another section for buggy games, even if the achievements are unaffected? Glow Artisan crashes constantly for me, for example.

And finally... Fruit Ninja is famous for achievements not unlocking. I have all of the other 'fruit killing' achievements, but not the one for 150!

Hmmmm. I have a HTC HD7 too. The game doesn't seem to have a reputation for crashing, either. Maybe I should try a re-install. Very odd. I seriously cannot play it at all, it crashes out so often. Might just be me, this one, then.

I am right about Fruit Ninja though! :p

Kinda debating including games in which Achievements unlock for some people but not others (which would include More Brain Training too). I have to limit the scope of the article lest it gets too large and unwieldy.

I thought of another game with definitively glitched Achievements though: Brain Challenge.

I think you should include any game that has a number of people reporting a glitched achievement(s). I have a total of 7 games that have glitched on me with 3 of them being games where others have the full 200 so it can't be just coincidence on my part.

Rise of Glory should be removed, should also add a Delisted Section. And what about games that require you to be online (WiFi or 3g).

NP dude, can anyone confirm that you need to be online to achieve in NFS?

iBlast Moki needs an active connection (Unless it's patched). Back when it was first released I bought it played it a bit and got 3 achievements whilst connected to my homes WiFi. Went to work and on my dinner break completed the first two worlds. The achievements popped but they didn't appear on my gamercard. Since I forgot to enable 3G.

The upside tho is once you complete a level, your 'Mokis' are still in the same place.

I believe you don't need the internet for iBlast Moki I got one of the speed ones when I first got the game and did not play it till I was out without a connection when I got home and on Wi-Fi it synced the Achievement.

Yeah, if the Achievement even pops while playing, you don't need the internet to view and earn the game's Achievements. That's just a random syncing issue.

Fusion Sentient definitely doesn't need an active internet connection to view Achievements. I just tested that after reading your comment...

As for Castlevania, I don't think that's correct but someone will need to test it out. I already have all the Achievements.

Fusion: Sentient's Achievements require you to be online to view or unlock. Combined with a broken Achievement, that's pretty lame.

You need to add Bubble Town 2 to this list. The achievment "In It To Win It" says "The player must reach a score of 150,000". This does not unlock when you reach 150,000 on normal progress so you have to in fact reach 150,000 in a single level. Very, very tedious achievement.

So annoying that so many of the new games have gone straight into this list. Kind of puts you off making a new purchase until someone confirms that it works ok. Wasted many an hour on achievements that I later found out were glitched.

Also, can someone confirm what is glitched in Fusion Sentient. Just updating my list with the glitched game icon and always put a link to the game forum but cannot find anything there.

Was just going to post this about TextTwist 2

Lightning Bolt 30g wont unlock and as Daily Word wont let you play after the 1st day you cant get the achievements for playing 5, 10 and 30 rounds of each mode which means thats another 45g you cant get.... thats 75/200g unobtainable at the moment.... what a joke!!! :mad:

its a work around which you'll be able to unlock the 5, 10 and 30 day cheevos.. Ive got the 5 and 10, working my way towards the 30 but the lightning one does still remain screwed..

It's truly a shame how many games get released onto the WP7 with glitched achievements. Are the developers not really able to fully test their games before launching them? I read there are a ton of work involved for the developers to be able to release games on XBLA, and that they are never able to test things like online functionality. Is the WP7 development environment just as strict, or is it other factors, such as laziness or rushing to release? For example, I remember there was a typo in the dialog that pops up when you want to restart a level in Spider Jack. To me that seemed like pure laziness. Maybe the platform as a whole isn't taken too seriously when it comes to quality assurance.

Tiki Towers 100% achievement doesn't work anymore. Have all the presents unlocked (like ingame achievements). Noticed some other reviews of the game in the marketplace have the same problem. Feels like lots of GameHouse Live games have problems

I had an issue with a couple of cheevos unlocking in game, I had a notification of each but they were not added to my gamer profile outside of the game. I think it was On a Roll and High Five.

I had to delete the game a reinstall and then progress toward getting them again, but of course this will re-set the game stats as well remember.

Hi eastx,

Infection FTW stated that 9 people have completed it but that certainly does not mean it is not still glitched. Got to Level 25 and 26 and still no achievement pop. Several other people have commented in the games forum and over at TA.com so it certainly does not belong under the 'Now works perfectly' heading.

The game is so buggy it's ridiculous. Lol!
