I've had my 360 for nearly a year now (warranty expires in about 2 weeks) and i got one red light today. I started to play the darkness and it froze about 15 mins into it, so i restarted my console, started the game again then it froze nearly instantly. Went to restart my console and got the top right light flashing red but i never got an error message. Turned it off, waited a few mins then started playind Dirt, about 20 mins into it it froze again.
Is this fixable or the start of more problems to come? I've checked forums and the internet but can't find anything about this red light just the other ones. I've not had one problem since i got my 360 until now.

Well, I don't know what to do about it, but I do know that Microsoft is supposed to extend the warranty for 3 more years for every console that has been purchased.

send it back now, while you're in warranty to be safe. i got one red light and it became an error message eventually. nothing can fix it either... in fact, i've been waiting for a good 3 weeks now for my box to get back to me "new".

If it's the bottom right quadrant, it's hardware failure.
Send it back ASAP. Nothing good will come out of this.

wait a minute...I thought one red light meant that your a/v cords are out or are about to be. but if thats not the case then yea send it back while you still have a warranty.

One light's hardware, two light's overheating, three light's general hardware, and four light's AV cable.
A full list of error codes can be found here (http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=484726).

So i took my console back the day, got a new one. I got home and noticed the plastic side had been bashed in a wee bit. Ok, not to bad i thought, hooked it all up and went to start it and you should have heard the noise it made. Sounded as if something in it was grinding against something. Tried it a few times, same again. Went back to Game, got another replacement but this time this one wouldn't even start up. Im pressing the power button and nothing is happening, checked all cables were plugged in and they were fine. It'll be a few days until i can get another replacement but if that one dosen't work then i'll do some research into the ps3 and probaly get one of them.
How can i buy a tv, dvd player or even a car and they work for years but there is so many problems with a console thats been out for 2 years nearly! ( sorry if i went on a wee bit, im just angry)
