Despite what the guide says, this is pretty much impossible on Easy difficulty. I farmed aces, volleys, smashes and lobs by going to deuce but once you get gold medals, the points really drop off big time.
However, with a levelled up World Tour player (or Duke/King) you'll breeze through the early rounds on Hard difficulty and if you use your super shots and try to score with volleys, you'll easy get enough points. I got over 9m and that included losing my final match.
