Game company now and days are getting real sloppy when putting extra content in games. What shows companies lack of planning the most is with multiplayer. Titles that should stay strictly story mode are trying to plug multiplayer in as an after thought with staggeringly awful results. The Darkness and Tenchu Z is a good example of this. Lag in The Darkness is so bad that it makes the game unplayable not to mention the bugs that reset wins. Tenchu Z has no real reason to go online at all. These games are prime example of companies going in wrong directions and putting resources in content that could have gone to improving the main aspect of the game. Now why does Tenchu Z not bother people as much as The Darkness? The answer is achievements. People don’t mind Tenchu’s online much because they don’t have to go online to pick up achievements so most people that play just bypass multiplayer altogether. The Darkness forces you to play online to finish all 1000 points and takes longer to get those points then the main game. I hope that any game company that makes a game takes time to think over the options they give to players to play other then throwing planning into a dead-end game mode that in the end no one wants to play or care about. Companies can put what ever they want to put into games but think about it do you want your game to be a legend or another bargain bin special. What are your ideas on this? Do you think games need more options? Or do you go with quality?

While I don't have any experience with these games I agree with the sentiment.

Reference the Darkness me and Reavolt went through ALL the online achieevments for The Darkness and it took us just over an hour and we had no lag whatsoever..... If you have 4 ppl in the roon it is not that bad BUT if you have more than 4 people in the room then yes it does lag badly. But to do the online achievments you only need you and a buddy to complete all the online achs apart from 1 (which needs 4 ppl)

This is true you can boost for the points or have friends to play and help you but for most that want to get 1000 in a game you would have to admit getting that by yourself with no help in public games would be a struggle. It would be nice if all live players would be in x360a.org but looking at the big picture and everyone playing games most dont and have to suffer.

I know what you mean, somthing I can relate two would be the downloadable content in Crackdown that erased all of my stats (I had about two or three agility orbs left).

I will be getting Technu Z from Gameznflix. I do believe that it is true what you said Nada because most people would not even go near the online stuff because all the games achievements are offline. There are the people who bought the game though and you could check out the Technu Z forum and you would find opinions on the multiplayer
