Rare Faceplates or collections?

I have a Halo 2/3 faceplate and a gears of war faceplate. Anyone have any rare faceplates ( bioshock, E305, limited gears) or any collections. And please don't post how stupid faceplates are;)

edit: Just did an Ebay search. Around 50 bucks for one. Would I pay it? Hell yes. I'm going to get one as soon as I can get the dough. haha.

I have the full auto and the outfit faceplates, not to rare. I also have the madden 07, NCAA football 07 and saints row faceplates, have the E3 2005 faceplate(paid more than I care to remember on ebay like 130$) but it's quite a crowning jewel in my collection. (i'll post pics soon if i can)

Definetly want that bioshock and blue dragon faceplates soon as i can afford them!

I was just looking at ebay at the Bioshock one. That has got to be one of the coolest faceplates I have ever seen. I was bidding on that Rainbow six one and a Ubisoft one a while back, they got to expensive :^/ I really like the blue dragon one, it looks almost hand painted, really nice. They usually sell cheaper than the bioshock ones.

i bought a rising sun skin off ebay and it skins the original faceplate as well as the xbox. ill look for a camera and take pics. its pritty cool

Yeah, all of the stores in my district got one each... mine just happened to be the sole recipient of the Decepticon plate, which I swiftly copped. Only faceplate I've bought for the system or intend to in the forseeable future as it's the only one I've seen that looks good on the Elite (no, NONE of the black faceplates match. Somehow, black was more complex than initially perceived.)

Got my Bioshock faceplate today and I must say it's one of the most beautiful things I've seen for the system. More importantly It came packaged thoughtfully with some extra goodies and a nice letter from the developers... Professional beyond necessity.

Razz, believe it or not I called around to all of the other managers in my disctrict trying to sleaze my way into getting their faceplates, and I'd fully intended to send you one (as you're always in the streets jonesing for valuables). I thought it'd be funny to actually send you something! But as fate would have it, half of them have 360's, they all have PC's and know how to use ebay, so there you go. Blame it on the heartless commercialism of our culture and the intentional removal of gamers from retail management. Fuckers. (I did manage to get one more, but I swore it to an old pal)

I've really wanted the E3 gears faceplate for a long time now, but does anyone know how many knock-offs there are? I guess what I'm asking is how do you know if it's authentic or not? Is there a sticker of stamp of authenticity on the rare faceplates?

Personally I like the Lost Planet, US Launch Team "I Made This" and Midnight, but the US Launch Team is ridiculously expensive, Midnight I think was just a prototype one and although the Lost Planet one is nice, I wouldn't really pay any more than £5 for it.

The problem is, even if you've got a really nice looking faceplate (like that BioShock one), it just looks terrible against the plain white console, and it looks even worse if you have a Core 360 due to the white DVD front.

I used to collect a bunch of these little money suckers. I have Call of Duty 2 (well that one was free with the game) Viva Pinata, The Outfit, I have a sealed PGR3 original one of 700, A Zero Hour plate, My favorites I have are E305 # 646 of 5000, and A Gears of War faceplate signed by Cliffy B, And Rod Fergusson, I saw a E305 go on Ebay for 400 dollars, plus 20 dollars shipping, not bad for something that was FREE at E3.

I have an amazing DEAD RISING Faceplate. I love it.

It's only manufactured for the UK, But will obviously leak to other countries. There have only been 500 in the world manufactured.

It looks great. (In my opinion)

That Gameplay face is butt ugly,thats the worst promotional item I've seen for a while,the thought of using that by choice hurts me,maybe I would if I worked at Gameplay and was really,really proud (which for some reason I can't imagine).although the rest of that deal would tempt me,except Im tricking myself into buying the cam with a 12 month subscription if I find one as I will need a renewal soon.the cam definately isnt essential,it'd just be nice.

Nah i got the bioshock one and its really really good all old looking and that.
But i always end up putting the elite one back on as they just look a little bit kiddy and turn your box into a toy.

well to each their own. I mean for me I like to have most of my stuff personalised or customised so I feel... a tad unique?

I see the 360 sort of like a pc gaming machine's tower, where you make it look fancy. I personally feel faceplates are a good way of displaying some individualism. I don't like how the PS3 wasn't exactly designed for customisation, and the fact that its got that horrible glossy black finish on top that leaves fingerprints and smudges galore... just like PSP.

Tacohead from lowdown411 and Frazmand from 360style.co.uk both helped us out with our new database at XboxAddict.com. I've been here before off and on, just looking around, but I was Googling for faceplates and you guys showed up a couple of times.

Anyway, here's our new database:

That's the WHOLE list. We populated the database and opened it up for viewing but we don't have the search stuff opened up yet. There's not a lot you can do to narrow down the list... which is currently at almost nine hundred faceplates. All of the manufactured plates are in there, all the preorder plates, all the retail plates, all the event plates. We've got every custom plate we could find in there. If the customizer is a member, then the plate is listed on the customs side. If they're not a member, it's on the manufactured plate side (but it's still listed as being made by a customizer - we just can't link their forum name to it because they don't have one yet). Anyway, I've got over 150 customs in there, including that Ghostbusters one. Or at least one like it. I've made about a half-dozen of them in the last year.

**EDIT** Oh, and we ARE having issues with some of our thumbnails, so if you see something TOTALLY out of place, fear not. The real plate will show when you click it.
