Which way do you swing?

A provocative title indeed.

When you first played the game did you take the Santa preferred nice route or the spanked bottom naughty route? People tend to say that you are supposed to be evil because you are a villain, although certain revelations later on in the game confuse things a bit.

Those lovely developers gave you, yes you, the opportunity to take either path to glory. So which did you choose and why?

Personally I went evil to begin with, although I missed 100% corruption the first time because of some hungry slugs. It felt like the fun thing to do at the time, killing all of those peasants and not sharing all the shiny things.

I took the nice path. If i had the money I would have bought this game but I only have it for 5 days from my rental place. I wanted to kill everything but then I thought.. mmm I don't know. So I didn't.

im currently still beating the game but i do all the nice things. though i wish i could have had velvet though.

I started Nice. The only fun I had was when I could fight hordes of monsters and send my minions in the fray. It was a waste of destructive power in my opinion but if you want 50pts, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

I'm about to fight William in my Evil campaign now, can't wait to choose the bad mistress, the other one is just too Shrekish for my tastes. I'm having a lot of fun. I just hope I'll be able to get the Master Tower before my rental ends :p

I went the nice route initially because I perceived it as being the harder path to follow and I figured since I wanted both achievements it would be easier going from being a nice guy to an evil guy rather than the other way around. It would be too hard to constantly have to control myself and not kill everyone like I did in my first play through if I went the evil route first.

lol i Tried to be evil as humanly possible, but my game errored and i had to start over, so evil i wan not :( However, now, i shall be evil once more, and smite all the silly little english people i can find (no offence to the english).

That is exactly what im doing, figured being good would be harder than being evil so i chose the hard one first.

I am going through the game being good. I guess I find it easier to be good than evil. Everytime there is a game where it gives you a choice to be good or evil, I always struggle to be bad and killing the innocent (ie. Fable, Knights of the Old republic, etc). Once I beat it being good, I will go though it again and be evil.

Good...better to be a leader loved than having to watch your back as a dictator. A mistress like Velvet will probably run off with your half your gold and sleep with a lawyer that gets her your dark tower in the settlement.

Haha same thing... I always do the good things to do in games (how sweet...), but if it wasn't for the achievement, I would have taken Velvet right away.

I didn't realize you could kill all the "Innocent"s at first so I didn't and then remembered about the Zero corruption and Full corruption achievements so decided to stick with Good.

It's an overlords nature to be bad;) But I missed the achev. b/c I rescued the elfs after killing the slugs b/c I wanted to kill them myself. I guess that's what I get for trying to be too evil.

Evil all the way, although it was a little unsettling letting the elven women die, I guess attributing to genocide can do that to a guy.

My girlfriend wanted to go nice the first time around, but we beat it a second time and being naughty was oh so much more fun.
