just keep a log as you go, that way if someone else is on their first or second playthrough they can see what mistakes you make and not repeat them, then they can give the correct answer to everyone else.

Damn.. I forgot, just like GTA, hold Y (duh..) And that's it Folks, now it's just too easy to 5 star each scenario. I've been able to get 4 stars without a problem and I knew the only thing stopping me from getting 5 stars was my cost to the State (read: shitty driving).

Yupp. 5 starring is easy now. It's a shame cuz lets face it, the car handling is pretty shitty compared to what Mafia 2 offered.

what the hell. on "the studio secretary murder" i found all the clues, but on the relationship to victim question to james tiernan i can't get it right. i use intuition, it drops doubt, i choose truth, wrong. i use intuition, drops doubt, i choose lie, now every item of evidence is crossed off, so i can't even choose lie. i figured i missed a clue, but at the end of the case it said i found them all. anyone know how to do this one?

Did you check the shoes near his bed? It is easy to miss because if you look at the socket wrench/lipstick first, the case will end.

Also you may want to add that too much car or city damage will wreck your 5 star rating. If you want to ensure that you get 5 stars you can just hold Y at the car and make your partner drive.

The captain wants you to charge the Eli,so if you do that and everything else is good you will 5star it, if you dont go to the school you will miss clues

The Game tells me over and over i have all Clues an every Location BUT in the Apartments of Henrys after the Music says "yes you have all" i found the female Shoes in the "living room"

This was my missing clue......:uzi:19/19 and 10/10 :drunk

just get a correct answer for every question and don't do too much damage/killing civilians and you get 5 star.

The reason I am not going into it is because it (if it is true) will be a huge spoiler. Let's just say that there is a bigger case that I think is going to tie this and some other cases together later in the game. (NO, I don't know there is, I just think there is). I ended up just charging the pedo to keep the boss off my back. I don't think it matters who you charge, since the real killer is still out there. (once again, my opinion)

well origianlly i was just putting up some info for ppl to use in making a guide. but when i get home from work tonight i'll make this a legit guide. but as far as theclues go i wasn't really planning on it. for me to get all the clues easily i just used intuition, checked how many clues and where, and then restarted from my last save to get the intuition point back.

Ok, I would like to clear up one of the interrogations for the 'White Shoe Slaying'. Three different people have posted the wrong info so here is what is supposed to be used:

Motive for murder - Lie - Rope
Contact with victim- Doubt
Alibi for Stuart Ackerman -Doubt

I appreciate the OP making this guide, however, I am curious as to why he has been back on the thread recently and has not acknowledged that others have corrected some of the info and/or asked questions nor has he fixed those errors or answered any questions. Making a guide is a great service to the gaming community....IF you plan on updating it and keeping it accurate.

Just to point out, the first Vice case is also not listed on this guide. Actually, the only Vice case listed is Manifest Destiny, where Vice has at least two cases (maybe more).

well origianlly i was just putting up some info for ppl to use in making a guide. but when i get home from work tonight i'll make this a legit guide. but as far as theclues go i wasn't really planning on it. for me to get all the clues easily i just used intuition, checked how many clues and where, and then restarted from my last save to get the intuition point back.

Good point. But that would actually make it even easier to list all the clues, since you can do that on each mission. I think I'd rather test my own skill in my first playthrough and see how many clues I can find on my own without intuition or a guide ;)

The guide definitely needs to have the question topic written out, because they don't seem to show up in the same order for me that they have listed here. Probably because of the order in which I found clues, I'm guessing. For The Driver's Seat my order of interrogation questions was different. So it's going to make it hard for the latter part of the guide where it just has the answers and not the topics.

The reason I am not going into it is because it (if it is true) will be a huge spoiler. Let's just say that there is a bigger case that I think is going to tie this and some other cases together later in the game. (NO, I don't know there is, I just think there is). I ended up just charging the pedo to keep the boss off my back. I don't think it matters who you charge, since the real killer is still out there. (once again, my opinion)


Funny thing is I charged the pedo and during another case latter my partner and I were chatting and the way he was talking it was as if the game thought I charged Hugo...Odd.

Well, you have a point, I followed this guide on one of the cases and the questions were in the wrong order, BUT it all depends on if you collect all the clues before asking questions as this changes the order of the questions. Whoever makes a new thread with an updated guide may want to mention that.

You need to chill. He never has said that the guide is 100% accurate and complete. Also, the order doesn't matter. Just pay some attention to what you are doing and it isn't a big deal.

pretty sure i made all the corrections, we are still missing quarter moon murders, black caesar and the set up. although i'm pretty sure one of those 3 has no questions in it.
also missing which clue is used for the studio secretary murder.

and yeah, i was not claiming to be making any guide. i just knew i had the game early so i figured since i was writing down what i was doing i may as well share and see what other people had figured out. it's a detective game, you shoudl have figured out i had it in the wrong order.

but yeah, i think what's there is right now and if anyone wants to use it for some other guide w/ the clues or whatever i could really care less, but i actually only did a pretty small part of it myself, everyone helped out, i just had the first post to edit it. i still haven't even had time to finish the game yet, about to do the last case now.

"The Quarter Moon Murders" is the one that has no interrogations (only clue finding, and a shootout). And yeah, as I mentioned in a previous post, "The Black Caesar" isn't there. And since I didn't know the name of the case after that at the time, "The Set Up" is the second one not there.

Although, as I also said too, considering you made this thread as "info for 5-star cases", I would think clues should've been here too. But it seems someone else decided to do that now in another thread.

I've Played through twice and it seems you can't get 5 stars if you go to the hobo camp to arrest Ackerson before finishing all leads in the case.

As for the Yellow Cab you must drive around yourself to get the call from dispatch, if you have your partner drive it won't activate.

I found an interesting similar thing happen to me. I believe the order of the questions are listed in the order in which you find pieces of evidence.
