"Smash TV" Not Unlocking?

Just finished the last monitor, and it didnt unlock for some reason. Are there any technicalities to this achievement? Or did I just do something wrong...

i followed a video guide on youtube linked in this forum and they missed one out so i had to go through them again and find the one i missed lol! so they can be done in any order

for some reason my friend didnt get it because of monitor twelve, but any order will do as long as its in one sitting EX: no dashboarding or shuting off console

To be honest, I don't remember! I've been doing over the course of a week or so. I just broke every monitor I saw. Guess I'm gonna have to go through that chapter again...

I did it using the Director commentary option.

Remember that there's 1 level that have 2 tv to broke. I didn't encounter any problem during doing the achievement.

It's in test chamber 5, one at the far back on the right hand side. You can use momentum from riding a funnel you've place in the middle to the top ceiling then shooting another portal on a 45 degree angled ledge to throw yourself into it (may be its a cube, can't remember). But I did it two nights ago. The other monitor you can't miss as it's right in front of you when you enter.

It doesn't even need to be in the one sitting. I missed the achievement on my first playthrough, so I tried again the next day - turned on my console, started a brand new game, and as soon as I smashed the monitor I missed the first time, I had the achievement.

Yeah, there are 2 in test chamber 5, and the one monitor you can break outside the test chambers does not count. There is one near a conveyor belt thats breakable, but that one doesnt count towards the achievement. Follow the Achievement Hunters video to the T and you will get the achievement.

I got it last night after breaking the first ten, I had broken the 11th in a previous playthru

It doesn't have to be in one sitting because I missed the one where there are three turrets and repulsion gel. I loaded an older game, broke the monitor, and then got the cheevo :P

Indeed. Smash TV is one of th achievements in Portal 2 that has been reported as completely glitch and big free, mostly due to its simple nature and meaning which can't be convoluted by any perspective. They should take note and make all achievements like that.
