How I got 100 souls

First of all I know there are loads of post on getting souls- Im just explaining how i got mine for me which was easy.....

I completed the game on 45 souls, then I went back to Port Royal, in the tavern area where you fight if you keep killing guards every other time a head will appear i got 16 souls that way but I killed the blue guy by mistake so I went to the end of the level, I used all the heads in that area but the guards keep respawning and every other a shrunken head head appearded and I just kept doing that unitil i thought i had enough which I did and had over 100+ souls in total - saves you going through loads of levels to get souls....

Hey thanks man for all the tips and help. I finished up getting like 70% of my souls on port royal using your way and then I got the rest just doing a couple more levels. Thanks big time for the help.:)

i am new here as you can tell by my post lol....
I am so stuck on this collecting 100 souls i have 80 atm but i just cant get any more i have been reading what you guys have done like doing port royal i get like 20 to 30 but they dont add on to my count but i know why cuz you need to get more then what you did last time you got on that level but when i have use all 3 heads up i cant get any more do they respwan after you have use them or not that what i really want to know?? plz help me apart from that i have done everthink else this is my last thing to do now and i have only had it for 2days so tbh i think i am doing good lol....

Hi there again.
Just to let i done it at long last lol...
I played port royal but wen i started i had a head all ready so that was good :), i used it when i got to that bar tender bit and got 6 souls then, then after the dual thing you have to do in there is a head out side with the rum ppl got that then wen i got to the last part of in the game i use it there and got another 6 ppl with it then got the other head on the hangman thing ran up to the first pull thing use that head up there and got anther 6ppl. jump down and chest below had a head in run over took out 10ppl with that. the head in the corner got that one then ran up to light the canon and used the head up there and got 15ppl :woop:. go to where the bell tower is and on the left there is a chest with a head in it got it went back and there was 7ppl around Will and got them then finished the level with 50 souls :woop::woop: and did it :woop::woop::woop:.

I've probablly done 200 special kills and only once has a shrunken head spawned its always daggers and pistols, any help?

I'm having that same problem, I don't think I've seen a single shrunken skull appear after I kill someone with the special, only health or other useless junk. There has got to be a certain button that yields the skull or maybe you have to do it with a full meter. If someone knows for certain, clue us in. Thanks.

edit: Ok I dont think there is any possible way that you got a shrunken skull "every other time", I'm pretty sure its based on a very small percentage that a skull will show up, maybe like 15% percent chance or less. The tavern strategy is great though and helped me get the achievement I think I had 23 from this area but im not sure I know for a fact I finished the level and had 39 souls just from port royal. I had a bunch on other levels too. If this can help anyone, someone else posted a great strategy in another thread for the beach level where at the end you fight in the water and you just trap the will and keira knightly(sorry forget her character name) in that cave. That strategy was really great too.

I got all 100 of my souls on Port Royal when your in the area with the galley right at the end. It took me like 2 hours but I just kept killing the guys that came out of the doors on ground level. It was the most boring 2 hours, but I wanted to get it done with early on so I could use any shrunken heads I picked up along the way on the jackanism chests. Kind of a waste considering I ended up finding so many heads throughout the rest of the game, but at least I got it done. Started playing the game yesterday about 6 p.m. and finished about 4 a.m. this morning. I even took a 2 hour break to watch the VGAs.

k i totally dont understand...can i use ONE head at a time?? how would i used only one......or do i need to get 3 first?? and after done the level, does it total to your current game? or what?

Yeah, the guys only drop a head once in a great while, not every time.
Mostly they drop health or money.

So I played Port Royal Tavern for over four hours, they didn't drop that many heads & it obviously (yawn) was very exciting killing the same guys over & over.
And their funny , whitty pirate-related comments, they were (ho-hum) great.
So the deal is just keep going. By the time they started dropping more heads, I had 20,000 points.
Four hours for 150 GP is not bad compared to some games.
Just keep killing the red-coats, as previously stated, not the blue coat guy.
Tons of (big yawn) fun getting the final achievement.

Not long had this game, but I will try this method once I have completed the story itself. I can at least have fun trying to get any achievements I may have missed on the way through....

FYI - You don't need to have a skull at the start of Port Royal, there's one under the stairs. Start level, turn left, under where the gold is on the steps.
It's under there by the chickens.
I say this cause you need your skulls to open the jackanism chests - but maybe you already knew that.

i pulled the superstar, got 54 on isla cruces, then blew up a grenade when i did the jackisim and died :D

Yeah, I used Isla to finish up quickly. Here is a great description (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/file/933119/50218) of the process plus you can get 15 extra real quick from the first level.
