Ultimate Steel question

Can you just upgrade your old steel set to get the achievement? When I did this the achievement didn't unlock. I tried to make a new forge item as some have said in the forums, but it didn't work. Does anyone know if you can just upgrade it or do you have to forge a new one?

I upgraded my starting set minus the axe, I used a sword instead. I think I might have had a different piece of armour too but definately the same helmet.

Just forge a new set and fully upgrade it straight away.

Have you got the full set on?

Yea. I only used 1 minion when forging the new weapon. I'll try to get the full amount of minions and see if it works.
