I just bought Divinty 2 The Dragon Knight Saga and when I first start the game it gives me the option to play Ego Draconis or Flames of vengeance should I play ego first? Also it shows only 50 achievements I am assuming for FOV so my other ? is if I start a new games of Ego will I get the other 41 achievements for that part.

It is a new save file and achievement list (slightly different than the first version) so you will need to play all of Ego Draconis again, which is I think 750G of the new achievement list. Flames of Vengeance is the new content which makes up the rest.
