I have to say I am an avid TF fan. Been watching the show and collecting since the beginning. With that being said a few of my opinions may be based on that joy for the TF as a whole.
Warrior's game review:
The game was overall fun to play. I have to say its skill level in most areas are geared towords younger gamers which is totally understandable as TF's are toys. I am sure when my son plays it tomorrow he will enjoy it. The graphics are pretty good, the unlockables are nice, and the 5 G1 goodies are ok.
Speaking of the GI goodies.....IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE SKIP THIS SECTION!!! They are G1 Prime, G1 Megs, G1 repaint of Jazz (new Jazz in G1 colors), G1 repaint of Starscream (new Starscream with G1 colors), and the Target Robovision Prime (which is the new prime but metallic and chromed out).
The other goodies are various drawings, bios, movie screen shots (none of the TF in robot mode), toy pics, comic book covers, and concept to finish renders. All nice but some screenshots of the TF in robot mode from the movie would be cool.
A few of the things I thought could have been done better is the fact you do not get to play all of the TF. Their is one Autobot and 3 Decpticons from the movie you do not get to play. If alot of people ask how they are I will reply. Also you do not get to play any of the other new TF that show up in the game but not the movie.
The levels were well done. Things went boom, buildings got destroyed, and you can wack some TF clone with a giant Donut. However there were not enough levels. I know they wanted to keep to the movie. I can understand that to a point, but I did not play the game to play the movie. I was hoping for a little more branching off. This would have allowed for different levels. Sure you the same one or two twice if you have to, just not 4 or 5.
The achievements I do think was nicely done. You got points for doing things faster or different then normal like hitting a TF with a giant phone. I thought it would have been funny to have more of these than 3. Like hitting one with a giant burger, or fry, or shake, or a giant guitar, or a Donut, or hotdog, or etc. you get the idea. All in all the Achievements were a nice balance between what you have to do and what you can do.
With all that being said I would rate it as a 7.75.
Well that are my thoughts. If you have any questions fellow TF fans/gamers please ask away.
