To the excitement of very few, the next entry in the Dance Dance Revolution series has finally arrived!

Due to my past experience with the series and being a seasoned (although not proud) veteran of earlier iterations, I feel that it is my duty to explain the unfamiliar terrain this game presents, to anyone out there looking for it. Enjoy.

*Keep in mind this is a work in progress and will appear very vague at first. I will be adding in plenty of detail as I go along*

How to Play Achievements

Welcome to DDR!

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/-hqjsA==.jpg

You've tried the lessons in HOW TO PLAY.

From How to Play on the main menu, simply attempt any of the four missions.

Playing the Real Thing

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/--pbIw==.jpg

You've completed all the lessons in HOW TO PLAY.

In How to Play mode, complete all four lessons. This won't take longer than 5 minutes.

Combo Achievements

FIRST PERFECT FULL COMBO

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-n5lYs=.jpg

You pulled off a PERFECT FULL COMBO!

This achievement requires you to obtain a timing grade of "Perfect" on each step of an entire song. I would recommend choosing a song on Beginner difficulty to make this one easier to obtain.

FIRST GREAT FULL COMBO

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-gZbRg=.jpg

You pulled off a GREAT FULL COMBO!

This requires you to hit every note in any song on any difficulty with a rating of "Great" or better. I would recommend playing any song on Beginner to obtain this with ease. *Keep in mind if you get all "Perfect"s this achievement will not unlock*

FULL COMBO (EXPERT)

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/-oNafw==.jpg

You pulled off a FULL COMBO with difficulty set to EXPERT.

A Full Combo, or FC for short, requires you to hit every arrow in a song with a timing grade of "Good" or higher. Because the difficulty must be set to Expert, I would recommend playing the easiest song available. There is really no other advice to give other than stating the obvious that the arrows perfectly follow the rhythm. As long as you remain on beat with your steps, you will receive "Good" or higher for your timing. Practice may be necessary.

FULL COMBO (DIFFICULT)

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-56d8c=.jpg

You pulled off a FULL COMBO with difficulty set to DIFFICULT.

*See above* replace Expert with Difficult. Same advice applies. These achievements do not stack for reasons unknown.

FULL COMBO (BASIC)

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/+sFJFQ==.jpg

You pulled off a FULL COMBO with difficulty set to BASIC.

*See two above* replace Expert with Basic. These achievements do not stack.

FULL COMBO (BEGINNER)

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/+yGxhg==.jpg

You pulled off a FULL COMBO with difficulty set to BEGINNER.

*See three above* replace Expert with Beginner. These achievements do not stack.

Score Multiplier Achievements

CHAIN CHAIN CHAIN

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-27huE=.jpg

In a single song, you've managed to rack up 3 CHAIN ARROW BONUSES.

At certain pre-determined points of a song, all of the arrows will begin to flash temporarily flash. If you hit every flashing arrow during these sections, you will receive a major point bonus, known as a Chain Arrow Bonus. Do this 3 times in one song and the achievement will pop.

TRIGGER 5

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-27huE=.jpg

On EXPERT or higher, in the course of a single song you've launched GROOVE TRIGGER 5 times.

When your dance gauge at the top of the screen is full and flashing rainbow colors, you can step in any diagonal direction to activate the "Groove Triggger". This halves your dance gauge while giving you a temporary bonus point boost. Songs with more arrows will help you refill your gauge quicker. Activate "Groove Trigger" as soon as the gauge begins to flash so you waste no time building up to your next "Groove Trigger" activation.
*If you are using an Xbox 360 controller, flick the right analog stick to activate "Groove Trigger"

HIGH SCORER

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/+liw2g==.jpg

You've got a score of 1,500,000 or higher.

Use "Groove Trigger" as much as possible during any song while hitting all Chain Arrow Bonuses and this should be doable on just about any song on Basic difficulty or higher with a near perfect performance.

Arrow Modification Achievements

SUDDEN DANCER

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-+aj1Q=.jpg

You've cleared a song on DIFFICULT or higher with the arrows' APPEARANCE set to SUDDEN.

This requires you to pass a song after turning the Appearance option from Normal to Sudden. Sudden prevents the arrows from appearing until they are halfway up the screen. I would recommend picking a song with a slower BPM as you will have more time to react to the arrows sudden appearance. Also, picking a song with the lowest available foot rating on Difficult will make this a bit easier.
*If all else fails, button mashing with a 360 controller will dumb this one down a bit.*

HIDDEN DANCER

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-56d8c=.jpg

You've cleared a song on DIFFICULT or higher with the arrows' APPEARANCE set to HIDDEN.

This requires you to pass a song after turning the Appearance option from Normal to Hidden. Hidden causes the arrows to become invisible halfway across the screen. They will still pass through the stationary arrows up top at their appropriate timing but they will be invisible as they scroll.
I would recommend choosing a song on Difficult with a low foot rating but higher BPM (160-180) as this will require less memorization of what arrows need to be stepped on.
If you're still having a hard time with this, I would recommend using a speed modifier of 1.5x or 2x and see if this helps create less clutter of arrows on the bottom half of your screen.
*If all else fails, button mashing with a 360 controller will dumb this one down a bit.*

DARK DANCER

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-o4ZK0=.jpg

You've cleared a song on EXPERT or higher with DARK set to ON.

This is done by pressing "Y" on the song you want to play, selecting Dance Options, then changing the option Dark to On. Dark causes the stationary arrows at the top of your screen that your dance arrows pass through to become invisible. Just play through the song as if they were still there. Grade is not a factor. Because the song must be on Expert difficulty or higher I recommend choosing the easiest song available as it will not be as difficult to pass.
If you are having a hard time with this, use an Xbox 360 controller and button mash your way through it.

REVERSE DANCER

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-vYnD4=.jpg

You've cleared a song with SCROLL for arrows set to REVERSE, with difficulty at EXPERT or higher.

This is done by pressing "Y" on the song you want to play, selecting Dance Options, then changing the option for Scroll from Normal to Reverse. This will make the notes scroll from the top of the screen to the bottom. Because the song must be played on Expert or higher, I would recommend picking the easiest Expert song available. Keep in mind you only need to pass the song, your grade is not a factor.
If you are having a hard time with this, use an Xbox 360 controller and button mash your way through it.

Difficulty is not a factor here so pick any song on Beginner to make things easier.
*Netting a AA will not unlock the rest of the rank achievements.*

Give it all you've got!

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/+QC4Mw==.jpg

You've achieved a rank of D.

The quickest way to get this is start any song in Free Play mode, then hold select to back out to the Results screen as soon as it starts. You receive a D for doing this.

Club Mode Achievements

Dance Master

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-1kXGA=.jpg

With the number of songs set to 20, you've cleared OTHER CLUBS in CLUB MODE.

Pretty self explanatory, in Club Mode set the number of songs in the Other Clubs section to 20, then complete the set.

1000 COMBO!

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-tyXO0=.jpg

You've racked up 1,000 or more combos in CLUB MODE.

In Club Mode, achieve a combo of over 1,000. Some might find this difficult as the longer you continue your combo the higher the song difficulty will increase until you hit Expert. Setting the song count to 20 in Other Clubs will possibly increase your opportunities of unlocking this as well but in all in all, this achievement comes down to practice.

Billionaire

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-yEpPM=.jpg

You've scored 1,000,000,000 or more in CLUB MODE.

Set the song count in Other Clubs to 20 to make your set as long as possible, then use Groove Trigger whenever you can throughout the entire set. I completely smashed the 1 billion point mark so I can't imagine this one being TOO difficult as long as you can activate Groove Trigger frequently.

"Records" Achievements

A COLLECTOR

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-tBZfE=.jpg

You've got 20 or more ranks of A or above in RECORDS.

Achieve an "A" rank 20 times. For example, getting an "A" on Tsugaru on every difficulty will net you 4 "A" rankings. However, getting an "A" on Tsugaru 20 times on Expert difficulty will only count as 1 total "A" ranking. *This achievement won't pop until you select "Records" from the main menu*

AA COLLECTOR

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-lgbEQ=.jpg

You've got 50 or more ranks of AA or above in RECORDS.

Achieve a rank of "AA" 50 times. For example, getting a "AA" on Tsugaru on every difficulty will net you 4 "AA" rankings. However, getting a "AA" on Tsugaru 50 times on Expert difficulty will only count as 1 total "AA" ranking. *This achievement won't pop until you select "Records" from the main menu.

MILLIONAIRE 10

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-7jjgg=.jpg

You've got 10 or more scores of at least 1,000,000 in RECORDS.

Achieve a score of 1 million 10 different times. To be more specific, getting a score of 1 million on Tsugaru on every difficulty will net you four 1 million point scores. However, getting a 1 million point score on Tsugaru 10 times on Expert difficulty will only count as 1 total 1 million point score. Using Groove Trigger often and hitting as many chains bonuses as possible will increase your chances of obtaining 1 million points. *This achievement won't pop until you select "Records" from the main menu.

MILLIONAIRE 50

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-8Ddps=.jpg

You've got 50 or more scores of at least 1,000,000 in RECORDS.

Achieve a score of 1 million 50 different times.

Calorie Burning Achievements

BURNING 300

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-5JTts=.jpg

You've racked up a total of 300 or more kcal burned. *see below*

BURNING 1000

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-+ptkg=.jpg

You've racked up a total of 1,000 or more kcal burned. *see below*

BURNING 5000

You've racked up a total of 5,000 or more kcal burned. *see below*

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1756/5-yOokY=.jpg

These achievements require a dance pad due to the fact that your calories are not counted when a controller is being used. From the main menu, select Workout Profile and set your weight to 500 pounds, this will cause you to burn calories faster. Then go to Free Play mode and dance your brains out.
Performance is not a factor while going for these. Every step you take, whether or not there is an arrow incoming, will make your calorie count increase. Stamping your feet like a mad man will unlock these quicker.

All achievements attained!

I really hope I don't have to explain this one lol

Do you happen to know the song list? I like the PS3 list and I'd only really buy it if the song list was equally as good. I was thoroughly disappointed with all the of Universe installments.

I did a quick Google search and came across a Youtube video displaying the PS3 song list. It is the same exact game as the 360 version (which really makes you wonder why it took so much longer to come out @_@).

Got some of the secret achievements. Feel free to add them.

AAA COLLECTOR

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y105/Zukin-Man/ddr/360%20achievements/AAACollector.jpg

50G - You've got 100 or more ranks of AAA or above in RECORDS.

Nothing's going to help you with this except practice and perseverance. Veterans might find this surprisingly easy because of how generous the grading system is. After getting enough AAA's, go to your Records to trigger the achievement.

MILLIONAIRE 100

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y105/Zukin-Man/ddr/360%20achievements/Millionaire100.jpg

50G - You've got 100 or more scores of at least 1,000,000 in RECORDS.

You'll probably get this about the same time as AAA Collector. Again, Records to trigger.

SONG COLLECTOR

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y105/Zukin-Man/ddr/360%20achievements/SongCollector.jpg

50G - You've unlocked all the hidden songs.

You unlock songs by playing Club Mode. The more you fill on your skill meter, the more songs you unlock. Once you fill the meter completely, all songs will be unlocked. Ithink the last couple songs are Crazy <3 Love and New York EVOLVED.

CHALLENGER

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y105/Zukin-Man/ddr/360%20achievements/Challenger.jpg

30G - You've unlocked the CHALLENGE difficulty level on every song (excluding downloaded songs).

After unlocking all of the songs, clear them. I don't know if you can unlock the Challenge charts by playing difficulties lower than Expert. Can anyone clarify on this?

FULL COMBO (CHALLENGE)

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y105/Zukin-Man/ddr/360%20achievements/FullComboChallenge.jpg

30G - You pulled off a FULL COMBO with difficulty set to CHALLENGE.

Sounds straightforward. However, most Challenge charts throw in those corner buttons (bumpers and triggers if you're on a controller) and those are tough to get adjusted to.

Veterans to DDR have a little bit of a break as far as one of the unlockable songs goes. You can unlock Tsugaru (Apple Mix) from Club Mode and once you clear it in Free Play, you'll unlock its Challenge chart. Tsugaru's Challenge chart is exactly the same as it's been for years.

ULTIMATE DANCER

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y105/Zukin-Man/ddr/360%20achievements/UltimateDancer.jpg

30G - You've cleared a song on DIFFICULT or higher with the arrows' APPEARANCE set to STEALTH.

Stealth is found in the same menu as the Hidden and Sudden modifiers and means your arrows are completely invisible. Sounds hard at first, but just set up a second controller to play your chosen song on the same difficulty as you and just watch the dummy's arrows.

...Also, on a personal note, I want to say how much I hate the scoring system in this game. It is way too generous. I tried to go for the "First B" achievement by finishing A Geisha's Dream with 60 Greats and 19 Misses, and still got a AA. There's no reason for that.

Are you 100% sure that it's the exact same? Because I love the PS3 list whereas the Wii song list is garbage.

It also seems like this game is really easy to score high and get achievements... Maybe I'll actually 1k a DDR game?

Anyway, just got the 360 version and I'm awfully disappointed at this complete garbage set list. There are maybe 3 or 4 decent DANCEABLE songs on the original set list (in my opinion). One would have to spend over 1000 MS points to get any real classic DDR music. And even then, Max 300 and Xepher are nowhere to be found at the moment.

Zukin-Man
04-16-2011, 09:40 PM
There's several unlockable Konami Originals. MAX 300 happens to be one of them.

Not so much for Xepher, though.

Well that makes it a bit better, but having the landslide of today's "popular" English music just destroys all respect and hope I had for this game. I just hope that Konami releases more classics via DLC because I will most definitely buy them then.

I'm sure if you're not new to DDR games, you can get 950/1000 in 10-15 hours for this game. But even you're incredibly good at DDR(just like get 1000/1000 on DDR Universe 1\2 easily or even get an AAA on Valkyrie dimension(ch)),it will still waste you at least 40 hours on club mode for last 50 points(trick master),and really depends on luck.

I'm confused. You said you love the PS3 versions song list but are calling the 360 versions song list garbage meanwhile they are both EXACTLY the same lol

And I don't recommend buying DLC until you have finished the achievement list because DLC songs will interfere with the unlocking of several achievements.

As for the guide, I've had LOTS of work lately but I promise to get this done as soon as I possibly can. Also, thank you ParoXyzm for your contributions so far, I will add them to the guide as soon as I get around to it.

Now that I actually think about it, what I did say actually made little sense, lol. I think I liked the setlist I saw (didn't realize half of the songs were DLC) on the PS3, then when I got the game and realized most of them aren't unlocked at the start (and requires that brutally painful club mode), whatever songs were available were pretty bad. I ended up buying all the DLC to make the game bearable (in my opinion) and now I just have to get the silly club mode out of the way.

Club Mode is important as going through it multiple times will unlock all the hidden songs, however each time you go through Club Mode you will raise the song stats. Raising the stats on a song will allow it to raise the difficulty faster which will also make attaining the Club Master trophy harder. If you are not proficient with the songs and play Club Mode a lot you are technically shooting yourself in the foot; you will not be proficient enough to earn Club Master and raise the difficulty of each song with every attempt you make.

Club Master... if you're having difficulty with this achievement because the song difficulties keep increasing, move your save data onto a USB stick and you can start from scratch.... making this much easier.
