Can two players on one xbox go online and play with others?

I like playing games like this with my girlfriend and our friends. So I'm wondering if my girlfriend and I can play on one xbox while we go online to play with our friends. I'd appreciate any help with my question. Thanks!

unfortunately no. my friend was over my place and we tried to start a lobby to get the 4 player achievement but it won't let both players on one console go into a live lobby. only local is allowed for same console players.

That's a shame to hear. Can the Ghostbusters go into different rooms even? In the trial everybody was on one screen without any camera panning.

I like the local and co-op options, but I wish more developers would realize that there are people out there who use both, even at the same time.

they can to an extent, the screen just pans out to a far view when the busters split up on a local screen. all the players kind of need to be together for the most part in the game. i dont know what playing over live is like yet though

At least the game gives you the option for local co-op. Most games nowadays don't...
