Well I assume seeing as even if you're in this forum a year prior to release, then your a fan of the series so I'm not sure if I'm gonna get unbiased answers or not, but anyway -
How worthwhile would it be to pick up the first game? It always seems to be pretty cheap on the preowned shelves but for one reason or another I've never gone ahead and bought it. It's pretty old now, are the graphics dated? is the storyline good? Overall is it worth it?

Haven't played it in a long time but I really liked it. Back in the days, playing a character other than the usual caucasian male was refreshing and the story was interesting too. If I remember, the graphics would still be very good in today's standards (Very improved Doom 3/Quake 4 engine).

I think I played a demo once, you're an indian chap in a bar and you end up on a spaceship with some other woman from the bar. Problem is thats literally ALL I remember and it was yonks ago..
Um to me I got the game for $3 and the game I guess was worth it, the story I guess decent and I beat the game for all the achievements (easy 1000). You never can die in the game so I guess that's a plus either way the graphic's are passible and I would say for under $10 go for it.

I remember playing and completing it years ago. I remember a decent shooter game with a lot of gravity infulenced puzzles. iirc I also remember it pretty gross (bloody, missing limbs, etc. I'm planning on playing Prey 2 since I did enjoy the first one. I'd recommend it as a quick play before all the other good stuff comes out in a month or so.
EDIT: haha, just saw how old your post was River...
