Dialog -VS- Gameplay

Is it me or are the dialog's between missions longer than the actual missions in story mode?

I though it was kinda of funny to have to click "A" 50 times between missions very odd...

I guess my question is does the story line get any shorter between missions or is there away around the dialog?

I know! Unfortunately, there is no way to skip the dialogue. It seems like it is 2 minutes of dialogue....2 minutes of action.
