Talking to gameindustrybiz.com Take 2 has revealed that the episodic content via download will be exclusive for Xbox 360 and won't be available for PS3 owners. Now read into this as you will but it could mean that PS3 owners won't need to download additional content as it will already be part of the game or they will be getting their own bonuses. Take 2 also confirmed that Rockstar's other game, LA Noire (a 1940's detective story) is being developed for next-generation systems as opposed to being PS3 exclusive.

It's been pretty obvious from the start that both games will be more or less identical regardless of system, minor differences but gameplay and storywise it's the same game.
It was also made clear when it was announced that the 360 would be recieving "exclusive episodic content", to my knowledge it was never announced that PS3 would get the same/similar content, just fans assuming that would be the case.
Seeing how there's information that Microsoft is paying for the development of the additional content in question it's safe to assume that these episodes in particular will never be on the PS3.
Other episodes perhaps, but only if Sony open their wallets (Rockstar would be stupid giving them a freebie).
So should this be a 360-only thing it would either be that Sony don't want to cough up the dough or because of lack of time/contractual obligation with Microsoft.

I read an article about this about two days ago and got the feeling by the way that it was worded that the 360 is getting the special treatment with this one. PS3 will not be recieving the extra content and most likely will never.
