Ninja 5 each game difficulty

The 10, 30, and 50 ninja 5's are not that challenging. The 10 and 30 ones should unlock through the story. For the 50 you have to go back and do those ones you missed. There are only 50 missions in the game. You should unlock all Ninja 5' on Easy, Normal or Hard (depending on the difficulty you choose) around the same time as 50 Ninja 5's. I suggest you do the Easy difficulty first because there are missions that can be challenging. Complete the Story unlocks at the same time as 50 missions completed.

feel free to conintue to add to it.

things that i think would be helpful to add:

Where are the secret missions and how do i access them?
General tips for beating each part of the game or any difficult parts.

It's a decent game but i'm SOOO tired of stealth games. It's well done and if you like that genre, you'll love it but it just gets repetitive.

huh? I've beaten 5 on hard with ninja 5 and never got that. Is there some special person you have to kill to get it or something?

edit: Ended up getting the first secret mission on 7.

For the record, you need a score of 900 to get the Ninja 5 rank. Five or six Total Stealth Kills (the heartbeat kills) and not getting detected is pretty much the basic way of going about things.

The game gets a little better once you unlock cool items like the Pinwheel and the Blowgun and can acquire and use skills like Ceiling 3 which allows for stealth kills from above and Feet 3 where no one hears you running from behind.

Might want to mention that the Tomikichi are the guys with the straw hats, but not with the bows. Also, they tend to be hiding outside the boundries, or essentially not where a normal person would be. At least that's the case through the first 18 or so missions.

Also, thanks for the heads up on the Ninja 5 Gixah. I didn't know what the exact score was. So it's 900 points no matter the level?

I don't believe that is accurate. I couldn't tell much difference between the various difficulties and I believe the difference to be the amount of score needed to achieve gold. Of course I played hard first and some other people who played the easier difficulties first noticed a difference.

A score of 900 is the minimum needed to attain the Ninja 5 ranking. Basically get as many Total SKs in as you can (turn Ninja Seal on and/or the controller vibration), keep from being detected, and refrain from using items and you'll probably get 1,000+ points anyway. People have been posting strategies to get the Ninja 5 ranking for The Pursuit of Echigoya and they say 900 too.

Just some notes:

-One Total SK is worth 120 points.
-One Normal SK is worth 100 points.
-One Normal kill is worth 70 points.
-One Choke-Hold SK is worth 80 points.
-One Situational SK is worth 110 points.
-Not using items is worth 100 points.
-Remaining undetected gets you 150 points.
-One detection deducts 80 points.
-Getting every enemy on a map with an SK gets you 400 points.
-Same as above but with Total SKs is worth 800 points.
-Not taking damage gets you 100.
-Landing a stealth kill on a boss will get you 300 points. I think if it's a Total SK it'll be added to the counter.

good to know, then I'll start by playing it on easy to get the hang of it. What if you do many SKs but get detected, will you still get the ninja 5 rank or do you have to stay undetected?

Akiraa20
08-13-2007, 12:20 PM
if you get detected just run away and hide til the debuff goes away and then SK again. If you SK everyone on the map you should be able to get ninja 5 with about 6 detects

pretty good guide need to get it through gameflysometime seems easy.

it is VERY easy. i have no idea why the FAQ states its difficult at all. im at 30 hours play and i only have 30 hard missions left.

once you get the feet/lurk skills and you know the enemy AI like the back of your hand you can run through the levels. also jumping stealth kills really help.

but yeah, easy as hell just takes 35-50 hours to complete? and thats with me going through 3 times already (i did a tomikichi run)

So just to recap, the stealth kill DO stack up ? and you CAN get the stealth kill's still counting towards your total through the co-op online game ?

Have I understood that correctly ?

Edit: Sorry, should probably have posted this in the achievement discussion forum !
Apologies....

this isn't a guide. it's restating the achievement description or other than that giving a vague description. Is there a level that i can grind tomachkiskdiiis in, for instance? If so, what level? Lrn2Guide :PP

Someone needs to update the Guide section with some of this info. Does help better then just reading the achievements, not that they are hard to figure out but the Secret Mission level locations would be nice to see.
