Oh my this was frustrating. Finishing 28 weeks in last sucked. What was everyones strategy on accomplishing this. I tried it with 2 crew members on a 100 pot boat. I dropped pots, rested, retrieved, dropped again. Docked at the port, offloaded, and rested. repeat. last place. not even close.

did the same thing. go with 2 decent crew, that way you can rack up on points during the mini games.

I finally got back into the game and this was a bit of a challenge. My strategy was to go with Monty and Lenny as my crew and the go for big sort and off load bonuses. You should be getting between 20 and 40k bonus per sort and as high as 70k bonus on the off-load. I think my record was a 72 throw streak on one off-load. The bonus is what moves you into first and it took me 3 tries to figure this out. Good Luck!

I just beat the game today, Season 4 being my last campaign.

I read all this crap about scoring big on the challenges,
and well, I suck at challenges, and honestly I think this game isn't worth practicing to get that good at them.
So in my discouragement I found another method...

I started with Freddie (for sorting and primarily unloading)
The 7% guy with 4 bars for Sort (primarily for sorting)
and 4% Bill (for setting and retrieving most of the time)
and the smallest boat (70 pots)

I made over $1 million by day 8 of 1st sequence, and bought the Valkrye boat (180 pots).
At the time Cpt. Jonathan had over $2 million, I was very far behind, but by the end of the 1st sequence I had caught up to 2nd place ($400k behind Cpt. Jonathan)

For the 2nd sequence I hired 2% Katie to help with Setting,
about halfway thru the sequence her Set Skill went from 3 to 5.

And basically just spanked everyone for the whole 2nd part of this campaign.
There wasn't much time for sleep (mostly 'cause Dutch Harbor is 9 hours away from everything until the other one opens)
And for some reason 30 of my pots disappeared for this sequence.
But it didn't matter.
I ended up over $1 million ahead of everyone.

Maybe twice I scored higher than $12-$15k on a challenge.
A few times I got less than $100.

I hope this helps, "Season 4" took me about 3 hours this way.
Installing the game to your harddrive noticably speeds up the time each challenge takes to load. Which is often. Then erase it, with enthusiasm!
I'll never play this piece of shit game again.

Only go for 'Old Salt' if you're the kind of person who'll slit their wrists over 1000/1000. It's a waste of time.
I haven't been this disappointed with a completed game since Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust.

Damn I played season 4 two times through before installing the game onto hard drive, wow can I have all that wasted loading time back? Much faster now!
