how do i change the difficulty for the 4 song selection?

i'm stuck on light and i can't get it to come up with the screen at the beginning that asks what difficulty you want?

i have completed all the light songs and can select medium on the individual songs

and also while i'm at it has any one found a way to quit out between the song packs? like i'm 2 songs in to a 4 song pack how do i save and leave it at that?

You have to get an "A" rating for the Selections to unlock new ones, which are at a higher level.
