Looking at the box itself it looks like a kids version of marvel ultimate alliance based of a saturday morning cartoon.
Is this more or less all there is to it, or is there a decent game hiding below?

Have you ever played any of the Lego games? It's fairly identical to those, pretty mindless but kind of fun in a repetitive way.

Really? I was going to grab it but thought gay, but if its like a Lego game ill pick it up.

Almost identical structure, you and a useless AI co-op partner go through smashing up levels. They mix it up with some mini games and gimmick levels, but this felt very similar to all the Lego games and Spider-Man Friend or Foe.

I bought it, I don't really dislike it, but I do get bored playing it. I guess it's at least good to get some achievements in.

Its fun, never looked at it as a lego type game. its great if you have kids who are into the cartoon series or even as a grown up who loves marvel. i bought ot for my son, he loves the cartoon and owns almost all the figures. i bought it for him but my wife and i enjoy it with him. itsa fun for everyone

I like it but I also seem to like all of the Lego games except Indy 2.

I think whilst the main game seems Kiddy like, the challenges are pretty hardcore. The "hack" challenges almost drove me insane!

I disagree. The hack challenges are nowhere near annoying as the survivor or defender challenges. To each its own, I guess. :)
