Mine's quite pathetic in comparison but as I'm not working atm and was a student before hand, it's not surprising really :p

Only got a 21" standard TV so bought a 19" Asus widescreen monitor and set that up for the 360, using the inbuilt speakers.
Got about 100 DVDs I think, not counted them in a while :p

When I'm working again I'm hoping to go up to a 27" HDTV and get some decent speakers too. So far I've managed to acquire the TV stand and that's it :D

Well the first Gen DLP's sucked. First they were extremely slow at processing. Also, they had focus issues. Alot of that had to do with the heat and the fan. It created condensation on the bulb, hence blurry picture.

The New Mitsubishi's are amazing. I would go with what I have, only in a bigger form. The MITWD65831 Diamond hands down is the best DLP on the market. Plus it weighs like 85 pounds. With a native of 1080p you get a crisp, fast refreshing image. Plus the blacks are plasma like. If you want to go flat screen and money is no object.....go with the Sony 52" XBR3, it is a good picture. I still love the DLP for gaming though. Don't make the mistake of going Plasma, until the new Pioneer Elites come out. The Pioneer 6040HDPRO is coming out this month. Zero burn in issues. But it will be like $8,000.

So to sum it up. You can get the MITWD65831 for about $3499.99, honestly....for the buck, do it. Also get the warranty and make sure it has bulb coverage. The bulbs last about 4 years with a good power center.

Aiming to put screens on opposite walls to stop the inevitable cheating that occurs (split screen syndrome) when my kids play you know like in GRAW they can see where each other is hideing. I have the basics covered just really lost on what to do for sound.

Control 4 Fugitive.....thats what I was suggesting. Sorry if that wasn't clear lol.
You can independently run Audio and Video to multiple sources...all wireless. It is what I do to play games in multiple rooms, etc. Also the easiest and cheapest would be to use a dual zone receiver. The Yamaha 1600 is a good starter or the Denon AVR2807.

I have a 480 progressive scan widescreen projector from infocus, with a DVR plugged into the component, a DVD player in the composite, and the 360 through S-Video. I'm too lazy to buy a component switcher or HDMI adapter, or M1/DA adapter. The speakers system is older than I am. Let's just say it came out between the popularizations of the VCR and CD player. I had to shell out 100 bucks for the wireless adapter to steal from the neighbors. Cheaper after a few months, I suppose. I do have a leather couch though, and the armchair of legendary bowler Earl Anthony. Wikipedia him.

In my bedroom for last gen goodness, I have a VGA adapter from the mid 90's. The 360 recognizes that it isn't microsoft's so it doesn't work, but the Xbox and PS2 (gotten for 50 bucks off craigslist) run in moderately obscured bliss on my 19" german monitor and secondhand speakers. A true marvel of AV geekery this box is.

Mine setup is not as impressive as most of what you guys are posting. Just a single room for gaming, plus a small TV in the bedroom. But it works for me. Kills me not to have my sound system setup though.

Umm, since when did LG start making 62" LCD's? I know they make a Rear Projection DLP and Plasmas....but LCD? Also, since when do they make a 50" LCD? I know they make a 50" Plasma and a 52" LCD. Hhmmm. Need photos from that 8.2 Megapixel camera to confirm these bigfoot TV's. Also what type of Bose system......28, 38 or 48 lifestyle? Is that a 30D or 20D Canon camera?

Yeah it's a micro-ATX. But the heatsink is HUGE. It looks bigger in person. 120mm fan. I was watching it running last night with the case open, you can actually see the fan blades when its on the lowest speed and that still keeps it running a nice cold 24 degrees when idle.

Under load it goes up to around 30 degrees which is still lower than the stock heatsink.

If you can fit one of these zalman coolers in your case then I highly recomend them. Best £35 I ever spent.

On the subject of setups, my graphics on my monitor are 'fuzzy' looking. I've got my 360 hooked up to the monitor via Intec VGA cables. I went into the settings and changed it to Widescreen @ 1360x786 (or something like that, because 1440x900 wasn't listed) and it seems fuzzier for some reason.

Is it just me?

Could be if your good with photoshop. In reality tho it's much easier to physically fill something in than try and mess around in photoshop getting different lighting across a curved surface.

I call bullshit. Considering one of these doesn't even exist. True HD or DD+ are the only formats that support 13.1 or 14 channels. I seriously doubt an audiophile of your caliber would call those processing systems Dolby. Second, if you had a room big enough for a 12.1 system.....an 82' TV would be way, way to small. Considering to get the true effect of 12.1 you would be in a movie theater capacity. So post photos and prove me wrong please. Or just try being honest and telling us what you really have?

I also hooked up the PC and the 360 to a switch box so all I have to do is flick a switch to surf between the two at my leisure. TV: 42" AKAI HDTV 1080i - It's a nothing brand, but it was only $1200 and works great. Lasted me over 3 years already. :D

AUDIO: Kenwood reciever with 2 large Vivid floor speakers - I got this stereo from my mom when I moved out of the house, so it's probably about 16 years old. I remember my mom using it when I was little kid. It doesn't have the special surround sound or crystal-clear audio you get now, but it goes loud, and it pounds hard. ;)

FRIDGE: Danby beer-fridge. 80 can + 5 wine bottle capacity.

SYSTEMS: Xbox 360 Elite, PS2, Wii (360 Pro and second PS2 in the bedroom upstairs).

GAMEROOM INTERNET: Dell Inspiron 1521 laptop.

OTHER: Foosball table, air hockey table, dart board, and an 8' pool table that needs to be assembled.

I have a 32" HD tv, my 360 and a PS3 right next to it, and my high end computer all placed in the same room, along with over 100 pc games, 50 xbox 360 games and a mere 6 or 7 PS3 games :) don't have a cam to take pictures with though, but it doesn't look as good as Ash3n's set up. looks really nice dude:D

Future:

In the Family room we're trying to get at least a 60" TV and a new entertainment center because the current TV is way too small for the room and the small black stand doesn't fit in. The room is about 30 x 28 feet. The basement still needs to be painted.

I'm not going to post my PC setup because it's no where near finished. We still need to paint and so on. I'm planning to get a PS3 (Blu-ray). Once everything is fully finished I'll post new updated pics of the different setups.

My setup (modest as it is):
Xbox 360 Pro (via the VGA cable)
In to a 19" standard format monitor
And also in to my PC sound card for full 2.1 stereo sound (some old Yamaha speakers).

This cost me very little as I had a space monitor lying about (my PC now has to make do with a 17" CRT) and the speakers were already being used with my PC.

The VGA cable and PC monitor option is a good way to get "HD" on a buget, and from what I've seen mid range PC monitors are usually of better quality than the cheaper end HDTVs of a similar price.

My setup.

Well, it was. :(

All the posters are gone. A projector now puts a 12' diagonal screen on the false wall in front of the garage door. All the Star Wars ships are down so the projector will work. There are a couple of couches out there, and of course now there's a 360 connected to it.

All those panels are padded and hinged with storage and electronics behind them. Those are 27" stereo tvs, each one connected to an Altec-Lansing 2 spkr + subwoofer PC sound system.

The first station had an Xbox, NES and Saturn.
The second station had an Xbox, an SNES and a Genesis.
The third station was the main station with an XBox, a PS2 and a GameCube. It now also has a 360 in it.
The fourth station had an Xbox, a Dreamcast and an N64.

Yeah, and I really did have two Steel Battalions. Those were the days.
