Assassin's Creed due for November release

Ok i searched forum high n low and the thread were i was going to post this was closed so here goes:

Today Ubisoft has announced the worldwide launch for Assassin's Creed on Xbox 360 for some point in November 2007. "Assassin's Creed is going to be a huge launch for Ubisoft this year along with the added prestige of being the start of this exciting new franchise that is bringing something completely new to the market," said Tony Key, vice president of marketing, Ubisoft. "We're confident that Assassin's Creed will exceed expectations as a 'must-have' title this holiday season and will achieve both critical and commercial success." Assassin's Creed will be available in North America at the MSRP of $59.99 with the Limited Edition priced at $69.99. That's quite a long wait and hopefully enough time for Ubisoft to add more polish to the game.

Assassin’s Creed is the next-gen game developed by Ubisoft Montreal that will redefine the action genre. While other games claim to be next-gen with impressive graphics and physics, Assassin’s Creed merges technology, game design, theme, and emotions into a world where you instigate chaos and become a vulnerable, yet powerful, agent of change.

Since joining this place, this must be the first post you posted without a ;) or any smile at the end of the sentence. I guess when people push your buttons, you don't feel like smiling or winking LMAO!

Other than that, I want the collector's edition for the 360. It suppose to bring a mini statue or something. Looks pretty bad ass from what I saw and in a nice box as well.

i'm so amped about this title......... if it woulda stayed a PS3 exclusive i would have bought that console in a heartbeat but since it was announced that 360 is getting as well..... i can barly wait. i almost wanna freeze myself until it's release ;)

I just cant get over this game. Great news on the collectors edition by the way, when i reserved it way back when there was no collectors edition yet anounced so im going to have to go to gamestop and upgrade. Thanks for the info :)

I saw the E3 coverage on G4 and was really impressed with the game. Especially the combat. This is the one game I'm really looking forward to play.

ok i saw that it was to be released in NOV. but i remember looking at release dates before this and it was scheduled on SEPT 25 same day as halo 3...what the fuck were they scared of the competition or something

Na, its had a novemeber release since before halo3 even announced what day it was coming. And if you saw the media event the other night then you might have noticed that even the demo that they were playing still looked a little ruff and unfinished. But that demo was freaking amazing, OMG i cant wait for this game :D

Look like it might be, according to G4TV just today.


French software maker Ubisoft reported their first-half 2007-2008 sales yesterday, and along with talk of "improvements in current operating income expected" and sales coming to "261 Million Euros, up 51.8%" from last year, is the word that four Ubisoft games are being delayed until "fiscal 2008-09."
"Which games?" I hear you asking. "I dunno. They didn't say." I reply.
Ubi's only hints as to the identity of the properties is word that one is an existing Ubisoft franchise, meaning the other three are new brands.
Here are the franchises Ubi will be putting out in 2007-08:

Brothers in Arms
Far Cry
Rayman Raving Rabbids
The Settlers
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell
An "unannounced franchise"And the new brands:

Assassin's Creed
Haze
