Ok...so I got drafted by the Nets in My Player...which is fine since they're my favorite team (I'm from Jersey/NY and hate the Knicks) but I'm already playing with them in the Association.

I was gonna ask for a trade but will it affect my minutes? I'm a point guard so I've been spending a lot of time in the SG spot with Devin Harris on the point. I don't want to lose minutes by getting traded. Anyone know how it works?

I am a SF and was drafted by the wizards. I got tired of loosing all the time so I ended up getting traded to Orlando. A few games in and I became the starter so it actually worked out better for me.

I was drafted by Memphis Grizzlies and I soon became a starter. But being a Cleveland fan (even without Lebron) I asked for a trade to the Cavs. 14 games in and I'm still coming off the bench. Plus I score at least 14 and 9 a game. So it didn't work out for me,but hey I'm playing for my favorite (losing) team. Lol.

JPrixx...I'm with you, I was (and still) a Cavalier BEFORE LBJ! BTW, it depends who is the player of the other team in your position: if you are a PG and go to Phoenix, it's hard to be in the starting five because of Nash! instead if you go to Golden State you will replace Curry immediately (like I did) or after few games.

I'm playing as a center.

Is it actually worth it to request a trade? I'm in my rookie campaign playing for the Wizards and I became a starter about ten games in.

I've thought about requesting a trade only because the team is God awful (easily the worst team in the friggin' league) and I just got benched because our PF got hurt and apparently it's better to start Yi over My Player.

Should I even go through the process of asking for a new team?

i am much happier with orlando than I was with the wiz. My team is currently 18-18 and have lost 7 out of 10 but the wiz are 9-26 so for me it was worth it.

My center got drafted by the T-Wolves, but we were losing & I wasn't playing much so I requested a trade. Ended up on the Jazz & after 20 or so games, I got the start. And we have the best record in the league, so it worked out perfectly for me.

The weirdest thing is that although I'm leading the league in pts, reb, blks, and 2nd in assists, I wasn't named an All Star and I don't show up in any of the award races, except for Rookie of the Year. *shrug*

I suspect you need local fan support to make the All-Star team, and if you've been traded, your local support likely resets.

I got myself traded twice (I'm fickle!), and despite being 3rd in the league in Points, 1st in Rebounds and 1st in Blocks, I'm about 8th in All-Star Voting at Center.

A rookie making the All-Star team is hard enough, hopping teams probably makes it near-impossible.

I think you nailed it on the head - be very weary about requesting/getting traded BEFORE the all-star game - it will affect your local support which greatly affects your ability to make the all-star game.

I got drafted by the bulls, hated playing Sg for the bulls and hardly any Pg so I got traded to the heat and have plenty more playing time at my actual position Pg..

Hated the Hawks.
Jamal Crawford and Joe Johnson Hogged the ball to much, so I picked 3 of my favorite teams, who dont have a GREAT SF,
Choice 1: Clippers
Choice 2: Bucks
Choice 3: Knicks
Still awaiting an answer

I didn't see my minutes going down when I first asked for a trade. I was getting maybe 20 mins a game *on the rotation* and now I"m at 37 or something.

I was the starter, then someone got injured and some trades occurred on my team then now I'm coming off the bench, getting more minutes than my starting PG.

I'm SG on the Heat and with Wade on it.. I doubt that I'll get a starting role. Maybe for the fact that the PG would get hurt or something.

I'm now second on the ALL-STARS voting behind Wade.

**Spoilers?**
It helped a little when I got my first endorsement with MJ and a billboard.
went from 4th to 2nd on the voting

^obviously Idk how to do the spoilers coding.. lol
