Wendy’s manager shot over limit on chili sauce

Drive-through customer gets angry about denial of extra condiments

MIAMI - A Wendy's manager was shot several times in the arm early Tuesday trying to protect the restaurant's chili sauce, authorities said.
A man in the drive-through argued with an employee because he wanted more of the condiment, police said. The worker told the customer that restaurant policy prohibited a customer from getting more than three packets.
The man insisted on 10, reports said. The employee complied, but police said the customer wanted more.

When the manager came out to speak to the man, the customer shot the manager, Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Mary Walters said. He was taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. The shooter fled with a female passenger.
"I did not know I got shot," store manager Renal Frage told WTVJ-TV in Miami. "When I went back to the office, I saw blood pumping out of my arm, and I was shocked. I was checking myself out and couldn't believe I got shot over some chili sauce."
Frage added: "I got shot over chili sauce. I was trying to figure while in the hospital why someone would shoot me over some chili sauce."

What an idiot! Hope they catch the guy. It's pretty tragic to shoot someone over a portion of sauce!

Why are you so mean Shaaady? Have you no heart?! :woop:

But it is funny, I mean no one died... and I am pretty sure he is laughing about it now too. I heard from a trusted source that the Wendy's in Miami are pretty stingy about their sauces... apparently it is an ongoing complaint... someone just took it to far.

That's what I'm saying. It is good that no one got hurt, and so I am just making light of the situation... The guy said himself that he couldn't believe he just got shot over sauce; he sounded somewhat entertained. And to not have known you got shot, until well after the fact suggests that either A.) He was merely grazed in the arm, or B.) He is a very large man who has had far too many Wendy's meals.

All of these tragic news stories recently depressed me and everyone else around here... so I figured I would lighten mood. Sorry if I offended anyone. It's all in fun. :drunk

How stupid did that manager have to feel? Out of all the reasons to get shot. Imagine the story he'll tell the grandkids. I got shot over chilli sauce? Thats sad like the convenience store clerk who gets coffee thrown in his face and robbed.

Mate, you deserve some sort of award for that. Nicely done.

But still, some people are unbelievable. I hope the guy gets caught, raped in jail, has a kidney stolen, and becomes impotent. 5* twat if ever there was one.

its just so pathetic how easily it is for someone to do something so cowardly... i mean, what is the friggin point of a hand gun anyways?? other then to protect you.............. from other hand guns..... whatever happened to the good old days in which a fight was a fight... people got black eyes, bloody noses and that was it.... you never heard about no 10 people jumping one UNLESS HE REALLY DID SOMETHING CRAPPY.... and no guns... fists..... its sad that you cannot even walk through the streets of some areas and keep your head up cuz your confident without someone taking offense because you are on "their turf" and then you get shot... and the sad thing is the consequences of MOST of our actions we will not see, but it will be our kids that feel it.. and their kids....

Thank you! I've been saying this for god knows how long. People hide behind a bullet because they're too pussy to fight properly. A fight used to be a fight, like you say, if you had a problem you'd have a punch up and that was it, end of... These days the losers come running back tooled up and it all ends in misery.

That scene from Kids comes to mind. Nobs.

I know it's kind of bad, but I thought that was pretty damn funny. Just imagine being there when that happened, pretty entertaining story you could tell people. If he died or got seriously injured though, I would feel differently about it.

UPDATE:

MIAMI - Police have apprehended a suspect in the bizarre shooting, Tuesday, of a Wendy's manager. The suspect had fired upon the manager when he was denied additional chili sauce packets. He was apprehended 3 blocks down the road at a Fat Burgers. Police have released this picture of the suspect.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/skyypirate/weird-people-fat-guy-eating-huge-ha.jpg

At the time of print, police were still waiting for the suspect to finish his lunch so they could begin interrogating him. There are unconfirmed reports that, when the suspect asked for and was denied an after-meal mint, he proceeded to rip the heads off two police detectives and devour the sweet nectar inside. More on the story as it progresses.

Haha! You guys are hilarious!

On a Serious note...
Your job is one thing and your life is another. I would not put myself in harm's way to protect condiments or even money. None of it belongs to you and if you get in trouble by your boss for not "protecting" it, then that's a sign for you to work else where because clearly they don't give a rat's @$$ about you.

Can we all say that, in this world...$hit happens.

While I find this situation hilarious, I really do feel for this guy.
I sympothize with him when it comes to dealing with halfwitted people with no sense.
I work in a flat out BAD neighborhood in chicago as security at a grocery store.
I have been in fistfights over tasters choice, I had a guy try to hit me with a pillow case with 3 gallons of vodka in it, sent a guy to the hospital over tequila, and very recently, got in a brawl that ended with a theif with someones purse, going through a store front window. Every time someone steals here, they truly belive there ground beef is entirely more important then your health or safety.

It sucks to see there is a wide amount of the population, who believe there smallest inquiry should take precedence over your right to breathe. Its a sick and twisted vision of are changing america, and unless something is done about it, things like this will no longer be sad, and slightly humorous.
They will be a continous flow of pathetic stories, one right after the next.

^^^I agree, Flea. That's very true. You should post that as a quote in the Daily Quote thread. The entire world is pretty much $hit. Society is $hit itself. There are still a good handful of us "sane" people, but other than that...people are damned near crazy these days.

I sorta beat him to it. In a roundabout way. But as for going on topic...I have heard of someone getting killed over things of the same value or less...I guess that's what I get for getting involved in the justice side of things. hmm...-writes down something on palm- must carry gun on me when get minimum wage job...

its funny and Shaaady i think your right in making light of it damn there is already to much nasty crap out there something like this is amusing, i mean for god sake he wanted some sauce was refused so he shot a dude, this is a comedy sketch for definate,

but think of this in the past wars have started over such things as the Tea in china and then there is this

I was watching a documentry on a native tribe somewhere in the outback, they believe that if you get a headache then someone from another tribe has cast a spell on you and to get rid of the headache you must kill the caster of this spell,

so you can guess that soon enough the tribesmen stopped getting headaches (or did they just run outta people to kill)
