disc's not reading

well lately ive noticed that nerly all of my games (34) keep getting a pop up saying this disc is unreaderble or it says please put this disc in a xbox 360 console and if i turn my 360 off then on again the discs usualy works could this have to do with were my disc tray doesnt open properly (sometimes it gets jammed and u have to push it up a little bit for it to open lol) i got my xbox january 2006 first troubles ive had with it anyone got any ideas ?

I have the same problem with having to push it to open, but the disc read errors can hopefully be fixed by simply running a DVD cleaner through the drive.

I'll leave this open for a short while in case anyone else wants to chip in but it has indeed been discussed many a time, have a quick look around and you might find more answers. I'd suggest the DVD cleaner method to begin with, though.

I agree with Highpass. But I've also read about this being failing drives. Try the cleaner...otherwise call MS.

i have the same problem, some times instead of saying play this game it says play dvd.

yeah same with me normaly if i put disc straight and turn 360 of then on again they work so.. meh.. lol

This happened to me, and I called MS. I ended up having to send it back to them. Sucks.

Is the disc tray getting stuck and having to manually open it a sign that your 360 is about to fail? Because I am have been experiencing that problem recently.
