Tonight, I gave my speech at my grad. It sucked, but i'll upload it. I narrowly beat out brain burner and my former crush, who both were co-salutatorians. I also received the Presidents Edimacation award for extremely high test scores.

But the question is, when is school out for you cool kids?

Been done for a few weeks actually. Official diploma ceremony was last Sunday, but was done for about 2 weeks before that.

:woop::woop: CONGRATULATIONS :woop::woop:

No small task being valedictorian (Jr. High?).

There's no reason you can be both smart and cool!

Fonkey, that must suck balls.

Arrow, thanks. After I took of my robe, three successive people said I looked like I bar hopped. I played in a Guitar Hero tournament in Language class earlier, writing this speech inbetween rounds.

Fellow students of the SMS class of ’07, I would like to congratulate you all on an awesome year and a job well done. There was never a dull moment at this school

Going to several different schools and moving around a lot is just one of the many challenges I have to face being a military child. I happened to move to Shiloh in the Summer of 2005. It was easy this time around. I had experience in my right hand, a pencil in my right, and images of wikipedia in my mind.

At the beginning of the year, I heard this quote by John Barrymore “A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams.” This one line should energize us to hold no regrets, carpe diem. As they say, there is no one day like today.

It is amazing that at the beginning of this year we would flinch at writing poetry, fables, and letters. Now, thanks to this school’s outstanding teachers, writing two pages in 15 minutes, or memorizing the amendments to the constitution are barely a pushover for anyone sitting before you. If anyone is due thanks for the amazing intellectual growth brought upon the SMS class of ’07, the teachers, staff, and parents of Shiloh are extremely deserving.

Class of ’07, Even though you may not be able to cite wikipedia on projects, you can still give the rest of your education your all and strive for perfection in these next four years at OTHS, and you will be able to claim honors, scholarships, and careers beyond your imagination. But remember, there is no day like today.

Yes, Jr. High

High school sucks. So much drama was involved with mine that I hope those are my worst years and everything else is better. Seriously just enjoy school and don't do dumb shit. High school kids and dumb acts go hand-in-hand, it seems.

first of all nice speech it was better than you make it out to be, i get out of school on June 21st, and leave for Florida for 5 days immediately,

high school isn't that big of a deal Im just finishing up my freshman year, ya was the bitch of all three of my sports teams, being the only freshman who made the varsity soccer team:woop:, (there were 9 senior starters, me and a sophomore goalie) and varsity tennis teams , and then the JV basketball which was me and 4 juniors

i think that its hilarious that you had a crush on the girl who you were competing with for valedictorian, it makes things all the more interesting.

Wow...Jr. High?

Sometimes I'm suprised at how young most of you are.

Congratulations I suppose. Now you just have around 8 more years left.

My youngest daughter just graduated Kindergarten yesterday. My oldest is starting the third grade next year.

This is how I feel about ALL OF YOU!

Manatee, are you envolved in John's Hopkins CTY or other similar programs? If not, I strongly suggest you look into to it. The quality of their summer educational programs is second to none. Seems like you more than qualified to attend.

Congrats! I didn't make valedictorian for high school (3.83 GPA I think) but I did manage to do so for when I graduated college. Lots to be proud of there, Manatee.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but your college doesn't exist anymore!

Razz, that was a typo. I almost said that during my commencement.

Good memory, Manatee! That is correct, Henry Cogswell College exists only in the history books and state archives at this point. Good bunch of people I went to school with, though. :p

Total graduates, I am not sure, but HCC was founded around 1977 as I recall. The year I graduated there were 100 or so graduates, and the total enrolled was between 450-500. About half were digital arts students, a quarter computer science, and a quarter engineering. Maybe 30 or so business students.
