Jackanism sword problem

this has happened twice to me now. first time was on davey jones' locker stage and the second time, while replaying the game, in isla cruces.

i found the green treasure chest, used the jackanism sword right infront of it and the chest didn't break open. those, along with the calypso pieces (i found all 11, but got no achievement), has screwed me out of 200 achievement points.

i like the game, but dayyyyam!

you making sure you have 3 sunken heads on you when you open the jackanism chest right?

I don't think you did. You NEED to have 3 shrunken heads. Try it again and let us know.

Do I need the sword to open these chests? The first one is in the begining of the first area behind the stairs. I see it but I can't open it.

There are no shrunken heads on the prison fortress level(i'm pretty sure thats the one you're talking about) what you have to do is either beat the game then go into replay mode and there will be 3 heads floating around the chest or you might be able to go back after you've finished a level with 3 heads..so if you still have 3 heads at the end of another level you might be able to go back to replay mode and use those to get it

There are no random heads on the prison level, they only appear around the chest AFTER you finish the game. So you can only get this chest when replaying the level after completing the game.

As for Gorilla's original problem, I noticed on one or 2 levels that if I stand beside the crate with 3 heads it still doesn't open. What you need to do is move a little bit away from the chest then do it. The green circle that expands out will still hit the chest and thats what counts.

As for your problem with the 11 calypso pieces, I would suggest you make sure you do have all 11. I thought the same thing when I finished the game but then realised I only had 10 pieces and was missing the Singapore one. After replaying that level I got the achievement. You start the game with a calypso piece anyway so when you fill the page completely you will have 12 pictures in your book. If you only have 11 then you have definately missed a piece.
