003 009
007 008

20 32

to work it out start at the bottom 20+32=52 half that is 26 and thats 6 on to 20 and 6 off of 32 so for this one it will be 003 009 that you swap coz the diffreance is 6

This puzzle was giving me a bunch of crap too. As far as I can tell, you find the difference between the two totals at the bottom. Then, you cut that number in half, for the 'magic number'. Out of the four choices that you can switch, find the two numbers that have a difference equal to the magic number, and that solves the puzzle.

Here is what I did... I think you are taking away the number that is moving and then adding what is coming over.
So look at my example.(im writing from my phone and can't get rid of the periods)
10....5 <---- this is your choice to switch
12....20<----these are the bottom numbers
=
7......25... 10 is taken away from 12 and 5 is added to it.(that's 7)..5 is taken away from 20 and 10 is added to it(that's 25).
