Double achievement points

Hi all, Could some one shed some light on why some people have achievement points twice on the same profile,cheers.

where are you seeing this?

the only thing i could think of, would be if they had the same game from different regions. (like 2 versions of enchanted arms)

Hi all, Could some one shed some light on why some people have achievement points twice on the same profile,cheers.
Some games appear more than once because they were not properly created, thus making each region look like a completely new game. My understanding is there is some unique game id associated with the system and the game reports itself as such. Remember, this is a computer and computers don't think in names they use numbers. So in my crude example here it could look like this...

[eM] -eNCAHNT arM- (NTSC-J)= id # 001
[eM] -eNCHANT arM- (NTSC-J Asian version) = id #002
Enchanted Arms (NTSC) = id #003

So in the above example we have three different titles (the first one actually starts with a space) and I believe three different id numbers for the same game. Technically they are different games, but whatever. Now that this whole system isn't new to anyone anymore, and I believe MS is helping developers do it 'properly', we aren't see this anymore. I believe they can use the exact same id # for another game and thus the achievements will only occur once.

This is not just for Japanese games btw, there are many PAL games that suffer the same problem (Everyparty, Saints Row).

The European/PAL version of SaintsRow had to variants as I believe the German Authorities objected to the drug traficing objectives/missions. Therefore a seperate German version was made (BRD) or something like that.

Ok sure it is still saints row but it is actually a different game both have 1000 points but one has one different achievement.

Search on my360stats.com for StripClubDJ .. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of examples on his profile (he/they were the first to 100k)
