How are you supposed to catch even 1000p Fish??

Seriously, I've tried every level but Ice cap, and I cant catch a 1000 pound fish, let alone a 2000! How are you supposed to do it? I go nect to the fish, usung my life ring, then it bites the hook. it emodiattly turns around, and swims like 8 meters away from me, even if it hits a wall, he just jeeps going! It seems impossible. I get him 4 m close, and then the pressure meter just completely explodes, and I lose a life... Please help...

Try tapping A in short bursts first of all. Also try tilting the rod in different directions. It seems depending on which way the fish is facing tilting the rod in a certain direction will make it harder for him to get away. Keep pacing with A until you see that it'll stop going up because the fish is struggling, then hold it in until you think it'll go to the top. Keep repeating to the best of your ability. I had a ton of trouble with this at first and almost gave up on Twinkle Park but I finally did it. Also, fish while floating on top of the water to get the fish faster. You might even get lucky and the fish will swim towards you when you first hook him.

Unless it's right against the surface, I don't think you can actually catch it like that. I hooked one fish about 4 meters below and nothing happened other than it continued to swim until it hit a wall (which apparently then lets you reel them in).

The tapping A method complelty works. I just beat the A and B missions for Twinkle Park and Hot Shelter. I also just completed the B mission for Ice Cap by catching a 2080p fish! It seems so easy now. Thanks!

You're welcome, no problem. I swear I spent like an hour or two on Twinkle Park before I finally did it and then knocked out the last few stages in 10 minutes each. Getting the first one is always the hardest.
