"Practice" and "Makes Perfect"... Not so perfect!!!

Ok... here's the deal, I myself, like most people... can't be bothered with 3 practise session of 1h... lol, I only need about 4 laps to get to know the track, and about 2 more to get the fastest time in a session...

Participate in all 3 Practice sessions of a race weekend

This can be done in either career or Grand Prix mode. "Long Race Weekend" must be selected. Post a legitimate time (do not cut corners) then accelerate time by returning to the garage and choosing the first option on screen. Press http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/misc/rb.png twice to increase the speed to 30x. Do this for each session.

Top the time sheet for all 3 Practice Sessions

Play on easy, either in your Career or in a Grand Prix. Must be a "Long Race Weekend". Set the fastest time in practice, then accelerate time. Repeat this for the 3 sessions.

Refer to "Practice Makes Perfect" for information on accelerating time.



So when I learned about the "Practice " and "Makes perfect" achievements, I decided to wait to the GP of Italy (my favourite track of all time, maybe besides SPA). So I decided, on race 16, to chose "Long Race Weekend"... Pfff..

3 Practice Sessions
3 Quali Sessions
11 lap race ...

But I didn't get the achievement :uzi:

I have no idea what went wrong.. I was fastest in ALL practice session (with more than 2 seconds to spare). I was fastest in all 3 Qualifying sessions and got the pole position.
I won the race with about 50 seconds to spare (track was wet, so I didnt change tires).... so that can't be it either...

Anyone can confirm this 'glitched' achievement?

All you have to do is post a time in each of the 3 practice sessions. accelerate the rest of the time? don't take long, so do it at your next track. it's not glitched.

I did exactly that... Even got fastest time in each sector of Monza whilst doing it.. still nothing... No chievo.

I don't care about the accelerating time... But you have to do 3 Qualifying sessions after it, annoys me.

Its not glitched it just doesnt pop together for some reason. I had the achievement for being fastest in all practice sessions, qualify on pole and win, but not the achievement for taking part in all 3 sessions??? It's odd, just fullfill the requirements again and it should pop.

Yeh, when I had the game, that Practice Makes Perfect one was glitched for me to I think. Pretty sure I tried that one and I didnt get it, sucks bad.

Blegh... I swallowed my pride and tried it again on Signapore... which is a very hard track for me... Don't know why...
Then in P3 it was raining, so I did a fast Wet lap. Then the track dried up, so I did a fast Intermediate Lap, then the track was dry, so I did a full dry lap...
Now I have to do the Long Quali and guess what... NO CHIEVO! :mad::uzi:

Didn't glitch for me. I just set the fastest lap on all 3 practice sessions. I didn't have to set fastest in qually or in win the race..just set fastest lap in all 3 practice sessions.

To do this, do long race weekend, and it will first give you a practice session. Do that session and get the fastest lap time. Go to the pit and it will allow you to see a screen. Click that screen twice and press the RB button twice. It will accelerate the session time by 30x. When the time reaches 0, it will automatically load up Practice session 2. Do the same thing for this session, and when done it will automatically load 3. Do the same for this and the achievement is yours.

Yeah well.. It just isn't.. Achievement still didn't pop.

I just got the 2 achievements for fastest laps in practice and practice/qualifying/race on Montreal in my Lotus on expert so it worked for me. I do all my races on long weekend and haven't had any problems with the achievements not unlocking so far.
