I'm sorry, but whoever came up with this achievement and Untouchable must
be laughing really hard right now.

I can do great, time wise. I've gotten to the Chaos Emerald/1up section with over 30 seconds before, but I always get bounced into the 1up or red ! circle.

Any tips?

The only advice I can give you is be careful and take your time around the exits. If you can get there with 30 seconds to go, just be extra slow. When I got the achievement, I didn't need to use jump at all, so if you're using that it may be causing you to lose some control.

It's not much of a jump to be honest, more like a tilt in pinball. The walls shake a bit and nudge Sonic around. When I got the achievement, I spent quite a bit of time perfecting the start so I could get to the end with lots of time so I could be extra careful.

Huh..I didn't know that. XD

Yes, that's what I'm trying to do, perfecting the beginning of it. I think I have it memorized pretty well. My only problem is the last part. I think my problem is, I get nervous and I keep staring at the time, I get flustered and mess up.

EDIT: Just got it. phew. Now onto getting the rest of the chaos emeralds. Thanks for the help.

still gotta do this one, not looking forward to it if im honest... i nearly had last night, but stupid spring discs, sent me into the exit spheres...

Kept happening to me. Just be patient and work at it, you'll get it eventually. The more frustrated you are, the less of a chance you have at getting it. I'm on the final emerald now, it looks like it'll be the easiest. It's just one big area and you need to collect 99 rings to unlock the "door" to get the emerald. Lots and lots of springs and exit spheres though.
