Introduction:
It's been 16 years since Sonic has returned to his roots, and he comes back full speed! This Episode is one of many to come. The achievements are very straight forward with only minor difficulties so just follow the guide and you will be done in no time.
Plan of attack:
1. First play through the game once in score attack clearing up all the chaos emeralds on your way (It's better to back track levels for collecting emeralds see achievement "The First Chaos Emerald")
2. After you have played through once switch over to time attack. Time attack is different because once you die you have to restart the level. So having super sonic by the time you start this helps a lot.
After you've played the game twice you should have mopped up all these achievements for 75http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/gp-g.png:

"Clear SPLASH HILL ZONE, ACT 1."
This is the first achievement you will receive. After finishing your first level it will unlock after the score screen.

"Clear SPLASH HILL ZONE ACT 1 in less than a minute."
This one is all about practice, take your time and learn the routes. Remember high ground is always the fastest way through a sonic level. If you have already earned Super Sonic you can collect 50 rings on your speed run and change real quick for the extra speed. Here is a video of someone's speed run so you can get a general idea.

"Collect all the Rings in 'Special Stage 1' and Clear the stage."
This can be a very annoying achievement, first you must collect your first chaos emerald by finishing a level with 50 rings. When you get your first special stage try just finishing it first because you can come back and replay this stage over and over. Make sure to save time by pressing start if time is about to run out or you are about to hit the no go zone. See achievement below as well.

"Acquire a Chaos Emerald."
To earn a chaos emerald you need 50 rings first and then finish the level and jump into the giant ring at the end. For this achievement I recommend you wait until a later level to earn. Such as the Labyrinth or Mad Gear. If you back track levels it will make it easier so when you get to the 7th chaos emerald you won't need to sit through a 6 minute long act in order to play the special stage.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/s2-1.jpg Crush Dr. Eggman: 5http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/gp-g.png
"Defeat a boss for the first time."
Very straight forward, after the first 3 acts in Splash Zone you will get to fight your first boss. He is very easy to beat and takes about 7 hits. Keep jumping on him and you will earn this achievement.

"Acquire all seven Chaos Emeralds"
Follow my advice for "The First Chaos Emerald" achievement to get these easier. No real guide at the moment but my advice to you is make sure you have your hand ready to press start and reset the stage if your about to fail. If you don't then you will have to do an entire level over again in order to attempt getting an emerald.

"Defeat the final boss and view the ending."
After clearing the first 12 acts and fighting the first 4 bosses a new stage will open up. Upon starting that stage you will need to fight 5 different forms of Eggman. Look below at "Untouchable" for a strategy for fighting these forms.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/s5-1.jpgGolden Flash: 10http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/gp-g.png
"Clear all Acts as Super Sonic."
Very simple, once you have collected all 7 chaos emeralds you can replay each act. Simply collect 50 rings and transform by pressing X or Y. Finish the level and so for all the other acts and you will earn this. I also recommend doing this on the time attack stages as if you die on those you restart the whole level. Being super sonic helps out against the enemies, just be careful not to fly off the level.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/s9.jpgImmortal: 25http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/gp-g.png
"Build up 99 or more extra lives."
Sounds like a lot at first but after playing all acts twice and clearing all the special stages you should be close to earning it. Doing special stage 1 over and over will net you 3 lives each time.
Here is an easy way to boost it if you need to. This is on Casino Street: Act 2
Ways to obtain a life
-Collect 100 rings
-Collect 3 sonic cards
-Find an item box containing an extra life.
Boosting Method
What you should do is start the level and just run through and collect as many cards as quick as possible. You only have a couple of seconds to collect 3 or more cards of the same item or it will vanish
I wouldn't recommend playing through the whole level. Just play about 2 and a half minutes of the level and then click restart level. Your lives will be saved from the previous run, so don't worry about that.
If you think you are about to die, then quickly pause the game and click restart. It may just help you reach 99 live a bit sooner. You also don't lose any lives when you restart a level, unlike previous sonic games.
I have only played the Casino level for only 30 minutes, and I have managed to have over 75 lives. So that is an estimate of about 2.5 lives per minute.
Each run through would normally net me 3 lives from collecting rings, 3 lives from collecting sonic cards, and 1 life from an Item box. The item box is located near the middle of the level.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/s4-1.jpg Enemy Hunter: 10http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e77/Folvex/gp-g.png
"Defeat 1,000 enemies."
This achievement will come with time, through beating all acts twice & replaying levels to earn other achievements you will earn this.

"Upload your recorded scores and clear times for all stages."
To earn this you must beat the game in Score Attack, Time Attack, and all Special Stages as well. Basically you need to beat the game twice on both modes then go into the leader boards and upload your scores. To do this simply tap RB on the controller until all scores for one mode are uploaded. Once done hit X and upload the times for all of those as well. You need to be connected to live to earn this.

"Clear the E.G.G. STATION ZONE without taking any damage."
This is the hardest achievement of the game. Check the video below if you do not feel like reading.
First form:
Run in and jump on the left platform, as soon as robotnik drops his ball and starts heading towards you jump at him, then do the same again and again, he will then drop his ball to go and do a smash move but if you do another homing attack you will hit him before he can start this move. The important thing is to make sure he is not still flashing white from your first attack so that your hits all count.
Second form:
This is the method I use everytime and is flawless, head in and stand a little to the right of the flippers at the bottom (If you stand directly under robotnik he will pick you up and drop you on spikes) when he heads off to the left jump up and hit him then as soon as he stops flashing do it again. He will then fly up above where he was before, as he is doing this spin dash (hold down and press B) up the right wall then jump off (press A or B) before you reach the bumper, use your homing move (A when in midair) to hit him and the rebound will send you into a bumper which will send you down to the right flipper which you then flip yourself up on (Press A or B again) and land on top of robotnik (going underneath would make you hit his electric attack) and that should be the fourth hit.
Third form:
For a free easy first hit run all the way to the right then when the pillars for the area go up jump off around halfway up and do a homing attack. This boss is fairly easy, basically the spaces are always near him and there are only 4 or so different patterns which you will easily learn, the only one I always avoid is when he is above you in the middle and pillars all rise straight up, just stay under him at that point as the attack is hard to pull off and get back into a safe position from. Also your final fourth hit will withdraw the pillars straight away so you can go for a riskier move than usual if you like.
Fourth form:
Keep holding right and double jumping to get speed as soon as you can, the first hit should be easy, you have two safe positions, very close or far back. Just trust your instincts and you will get through this one.
Final form round 1:
This guy is a copy of the boss from the end of sonic 2 but much easier (for now at least) when he is walking towards you jump up and hit him twice (you can hit him more if you want but i'm playing it safe for the achievement) you want to do regular hits not homing attacks, after two hits he sometimes puts his hands up so you don't want to be hitting him when he does this, another reason to leave it at two. After a few hits he will zoom up into the sky, I stay at the right side of the screen then move a little to the left just before the countdown finishes, make sure you give him space when he lands as his landing shockwave can hit you. He has one other attack in this form where when he lands he will raise his hands into a straight position (like he's about to go boxing) if he does this just zoom right over into the left corner then go back. After 12 or so hits (I think) he will start to frazzle and your hits will not make him flash white.
Final form round 2:
When he starts to go electric and the alarms sound shoot over to the left of the arena, he will always start this round by bounding over, he takes two steps then does giant moon leaps which you can spin dash under, he usually has three of these before he gets to you so choose your moment well, use your spin dash and a run to go to the right corner as he will bound back that way but never reach that corner. He will take off like before and this time stay in the right corner doing a spindash until just before he lands then shoot over to the left corner. He has two attacks from here, the steps we mentioned before so be ready to go under them or he will shoot his hand up, from the far left corner you can see it going up but it wont hit you so don't worry. It will come down above wherever you are so I tend to walk slowly towards him then when it comes down hit it from the left side with a homing attack in the air which will propel you towards robotnik, the reason for this is that if it lands in the floor it takes three hits which is more chances to accidentally get hit and you have a timer before it returns. Once you hit it, it will fly back and hit robotnik knocking him down, run over and do two normal jump attacks on him (three if you want to be risky) then repeat. After 9-10 attacks he will shoot pink shots at you but these are small and easy to dodge, he will also sometimes shoot a laser beam along the floor when his arm is coming down but as long as you avoid the front of it you'll be ok. 12 hits later he'll fly up and his scanning target will zoom across the screen.
Final form round 3:
Stand in the middle of the zipping target zone and wait to see where it ends up, stand roughly 5 sonics or so either side of that area then get ready to jump when robotnik hits the floor, use a homing attack on his head and bam, you're done. If his floor hit hits you you have a chance to recover just jump and hit him as soon as possible but be quick (this is why we want to be close to him).

"Collect all the rings in the final scene after the last boss fight."
This is very hard to do, you need to beat the game. You can not pause, use the guide, or restart in the final scene all you can do is jump so good luck. Here is the path for collecting all the rings.
Ground, Ground, Mid Jump, Ground, Up-top, Mid-Jump, Up-top
Body:
"Get all 7 emeralds and re-beat the final boss"
You need to beat the game at least once first, once done you need to make sure you have collected all 7 emeralds and beat the final boss one more time to unlock this.

Good guide, here's my tips for the final battle 'untouchable' achievement.

I also like this part better. I do have one suggestion though. In the 2nd form of the final boss, once he is vulnerable (after you hit his arm into him), if you regularly jump on him to do damage and quickly press "A" again, you will be able to do a (an addition) homing attack bringing the total number of hits to 4. I can do this very easily and it is not difficult. I'm just a newbie so I'm not expecting this to make it into the guide or whatever plus some people might get confused, but like I said it's pretty simple.

This is a good point however the 'bounce' from the homing attack does send you quite far back costing you time and increasing risk.
Good point for anyone feeling risky though =D

The tips for the 4th form of eggman are not detailed enough. His attacks can all be avoided if you understand them.
Overall Strategy: Patience. Drag the fight out an extra minute if you have to, in order to time your attacks.
Grey Balloon: It bounces at a slow tempo, easy to run inderneath it or to allow it to bounce over your head.
Spike. Jump over it. Simple as that.
Blue Balloon: Like the Grey Balloon but with a faster tempo. It can be necessary to give ground and fall back to the left side of the screen to dodge this.
Gold Balloon: It's massive appearance can startle you but it has 2 safe areas. 1) If you are close to Eggman, then you can get close to the first bounce of Gold Balloon and it'll bounce overhead. 2) If you aren't in the first safe zone, then you have no choice but to fall back to the left hand side of the screen. Don't hug the wall though, fall back and inch forewards a bit. The balloon's impact covers the left hand corner, it will bounce over your head if you are ahead of the corner.
Rephrase that stuff however you like, that is how to beat his 4th form though. I can do it on a regular basis using that.
You're welcome to use my Untouchable video in this guide if you'd like, some of your explanations look maybe a little complicated without a video to go with them. My video also has a tactic for the second boss that I can't quite explain with words. Because I'm lazy. It's a very good tactic and if you don't want to use the video, you should at least use that tactic.

It's a very good tactic and if you don't want to use the video, you should at least use that tactic.

I will for sure, and I'm using everyone's input for everything so I did not write the guide for untouchable any other input would be great. Thanks for the video. ;)

So wait a second, I have to beat these 7 pain in the ass special stages again in Time Attack in order to get a time to upload to the leaderboard?

You know what, you're right. I don't know if it's because I didn't have the pressure of having to redo an act again just to get a chance at doing the Special Stage or if I just got better at it, but I just blasted through all 7 now and only failed once.
EDIT: BTW, thank you OP and good work on the guide.

I heard that if you go into a Slot Machine as Super Sonic in Casino Street Zone Act 1 that you get only Jackpots.
You might be able to get more lives if every 100 Rings that you collect get you a life. I'm not sure about this one though.

How exactly do you get a chaos emerald?
Was in the guide...
Anyways you first need 50 rings once you have that save them until the end of the level. If you still have your 50 rings when you beat the level you will see a giant ring jump through it to start a special stage.

I have tryed and you cant get extra lives while u are super sonic so this is a gd method but wont work if u are in super sonic form.
Also i got untouable during my time attack run without really trying i think without the pressure of trying to get it made me make less stupid errors but i had to defeat the last boss 15 times to get that sonic head arrgh >.<

You might want to add to the Chaos Emerald part of the guide that, if you know your going to fail the special stage, you can press start and hit retry and still get the Chaos Emerald. I don't think I saw it up there. It might help some people out.
Edit: Scratch that. I reread part of the guide and found it. Sorry about that. :)

"Clear SPLASH HILL ZONE ACT 1 in less than a minute."
This one is all about practice, take your time and learn the routes. Remember high ground is always the fastest way through a sonic level. If you have already earned Super Sonic you can collect 50 coins on your speed run and change real quick for the extra speed. Here is a video of someone's speed run so you can get a general idea.
Each run through would normally net me 3 lives from collecting coins, 3 lives from collecting sonic cards, and 1 life from an Item box. The item box is located near the middle of the level.
Please fix.

Well, considering this is a Sonic game and you used "coins" a couple times...

Oh that would be an issue, not that huge into the game just played it and wrote up a guide lol guess I should pay way more attention to detail!

Thanks for the guide it helped me complete another game, I found Untouchable, and getting all 7 emeralds the hardest, but Speeds My Game (just memorize a path that worked and try again and again.) and Ring Collector (focus on getting the first emerald so you can do this non stop in the special stage zone outside of any Acts.) to be easy, and does it really matter if it says coins or not? We all mix up Mario and Sonic sometimes :3

We finally got the Untouchable achievement. There is simply no easy way around this. Study, study, study the bosses, then practice, practice, practice. Can't count how many times we failed at it before we got it.
