If I was to complete 1000 GS in Marvel Ultimate Alliance, having bought the recent DLC, and earned a few of those achievements, would I be eligible for the 1000 club, or must the 1000 come only from the original content? (I am speaking in general for games with DLC, MUA was just the first to come to mind)

Thanks.

(I read through all the stickys and did not find my answer.)

Sorry but it would have to be from the original can't mix and match. If you did however complete the expansion before the original you could still post the expansion as being complete, but as it stands now the two are separate, Original points and expansion. Hope that answers your question. :)

Shouldn't you only be eligible for the DLC club if you're in the Original club as well? The DLC is only part of the full score, so someone could get the game and get the DLC, then only complete the DLC achievements and get themselves into the club, but they've really only begun to work on the maximum score for the game.

The way I see it is, while I agree with you being it is only a part of the total points, it is separate from the original. Like MUA completely new characters that weren't in the original game, to me it's added points, like a mini game. I have it set up where it is as fair and balanced as it can be. Some may not want to get the expansions, that would mean if I did it the way you are saying 96 people would not have Oblivion complete and would no longer be on the list until they complete the expansion. This is the only way I know, how to keep it fair. The lists are separated so just because someone is on the expansions list, they won't be on the original if they didn't complete it yet. Hope that makes sense, just trying to keep as many people as Happy as I can. :)

I just figured it would be a progressive thing... what I mean is that they can't be on the expansion club until they are on the original club. That way you put people on only when they have completed the full original game, or when they have completed the original game + expansion. That way they truly have the "Maximum" of the game, not just a small portion.

For example:

Player 1 has completed the original game but does not buy the DLC, he gets to be in the "Original Club"

Player 2 has completed both the original game and the expansion, he gets to be in both the "Original" and "Expansion" clubs.

Player 3 has completed only the expansion, but not the original game. He does not get to be in either club until he completes the original points, then he will be added to both.

That make sense? Still your call obviously, just my $0.02 ;)

I understand what you're saying, but also, completing an expansion still earns more points than any arcade game. I think that in itself justifies a 3rd and separate club. Instead of your idea, I would rather see a 1250 club as well. I think that would be the only way to make everyone happy. But even that just makes more unnecessary work for Pandora when it's fine now the way it is.

The way Pandora has laid them out is exactly the way the Clubs should be. Fair for all and the least amount of complications for her to deal with.

Side Note - Two more weeks Legion my friend and I'm going to be Curb Stomping you... although I'd fair a lot better against you in GRAW, I know you've been waiting to Curb Stomp.

Agreed why change it when it is perfect the way it is.?

I think having the dlc separate is a good idea.

I don't see a problem with the DLC being separate. I finished Marvel UA with the DLC because I liked the characters. If I had no interest in the addtl. characters I would not have purchased them. With a combined list I would not have gotten credit for finishing the game had I not had the DLC.

This was decided on and implemented when it was first discussed 10 MONTHS AGO.
