First off, I gotta say that I like the game so far.
Second off, I believe the Achievements can be done within a week of hard-core playing, maybe two for a more casual (Read: Working/School) player. Each mission should take about half an hour (give or take 10 min), and the achievemens are compounded (missions count, as do kills, and you unlock certain pics in the gallery as you go along, finally level-building goes hand in hand with those f*&$# skills at the end of each match).

Easy. Just beat Official mode with any one character. If it gets to hard for you, go into the options and turn the settings down. Stil too hard? okay...Play a couple of easier missions over a few times. This will level up your mobile suit/pilot and drop some more items/skills. These levels also carry over to original mode (provided you stick with the default mobile suit)

While it SOUNDS self-explanitory, you gotta think: "Well, How do I get them thar pictures?" Well, you unlock them by (mostly) meeting them in the game. Most of them you can get by completing OFFICIAL MODE: ALL CHAR. The others can be found in original mode (puru two, master asia, milliardo/zechs), and there are 5 mechanics whose parts you need to collect to unlock thier pic (don't worry, you'll get them all after a few missions).

Same as the character gallery, you need to face the machines to get it. By that logic, you'll unlock most by playing through official. Some are unique (Zeong and Elmeth, zgok, are Amuro OFF only, as are Mass Produced Bawoo for haman), and some must be unlocked through ORG mode (Epyon, master gundam, musha gundam). in addition, the warships count. As far as I know, I've only seen the zanzibar in Loran Cehack's ORG mode lvl 2.

It may take a while, but just take on a mission. Losing ones, count too, so you could just start one, and die/watch tv, but 50k and 100k shot down will take MUCH MUCH longer than 50 (or 100 I hear) missions.

Kill em all....and take thier stuff. If I need to explain this one to you, go get yourself Mario Teaches Typing, cuz' that's the closest thing to an achievement you'll get without "accidentally" putting your knife in the toaster.

You get points for shooting things, taking down aces, capturing objectives, and I guess timely execution of missions. The Pilot point skill increases these point acquisitions, so be sure to pick it up (just kidding...its random). By lvl 25, your pace should slow down to a level per mission.

same for pilot only you get this a lot sooner, and the higher you are, the easier taking aces out is. There is even a ms point skill like the pilot one.
Points needed for lvl 10: less than 80k or 90k. can't remember, can't find a good number.

yea the board still is kinda pathetic but there is nothing we can do about that i am putting togeather a guide right now that tells you how to unlock all of the characters and ms and stuff like that just to make it more compleat and ill site you in the credits

now i am just hoping that the ps3 version of the game is like the 360 with just some name differences (the ps3 is directly translated on some parts, because i found guides that used the japanese version of the game because they are not region coded)

The easiest way to get skills is to get a pilot to level 30 then every mission you play afterwards will get that pilot a skill. The quickest character to do it with is Haman as her last Offical mode stage is very quick to complete, my fastest time is about 5m30s. For the galleries you'll pretty much complete them by beating Offical mode with the 3 starting characters and then do 1 of the Original mode starting characters. With that done you should have both galleries completed.

I actually submitted a guide a few days ago basically saying the same thing RRIKER posted here just more simplified.

well, nascar, I would include The LazyWolf's sneaky tip about putting one character in the corner, and smashing things up with our lvl 30/10 2nd controller. Easy breezy beautiful, covergirl. The only drawback is you have 1/2 a screen to see in, and that can be quite annoying on a 19-inch sandard def tv.

On a related note, one of the harder things of an in-depth guide will be which ms/char gallery pics are unlocked by whom. It's tough to keep track in the middle of a battle you haven't done yet. Original seems to have most of them, though.

As far as pilot skills, I thought I had 5 left with Amuro, then the green ones started filling in. Ugh.

yea that is what i was using too at gamefaq but some of the translations are different but will be going for this achievement soon and will be able to have an official list soon unless some one can help me and provide one sooner

and i was also going to mention his tip somewhere (i havent yet decided) along with any others that are mentioned

like the one i did with my bro where i pick a character he used before so it is leveled up some but the story is not clear then he picked a new one and the next storymode i pick the one he just used and he picks a new one so that i am always getting a character level 15 and up untill i finish plus the characters that are in both modes a pre leveled up from the last mode ;)

Yep, got 'em last night. Check my profile, it was the last achievement I got. Now for original mode. (If I cheat, I have to use the xplorer guitar for a 2nd char, and I have no friends where I am right now. Suckage) Only 13 more characters to go!

ok thanks i thought it would be better to do original mode first then official would be like a breeze but i am running out of characters in original so i might have to start doing more official to unlock more characteres lol

Just got 1000/1000, and it's about time. took me from 9/5 - 9/18. By the time I finished off and org modes, I ended up with a little over 85k kills (I would mess around with amuro in odessa now and again to get/try new skills/parts/ part combos). I just hashed the final 15k on kamille's atmosphere drop mission (OFF 1). And after doing about 2400 kills in 40 min, i realized I should be doing this with wing zero. about 4 hours later, i was getting 2500-2700 kills every 24-27 minutes. the trick is to clear all the fields REALLY fast, then get to work on the farm. I didn't let char die, otherwise I might have gotten I guess an extra 300. Once I hit my final 300, I did a pre-victory lap in odessa with the rx-78. :woop:

finally, the log says I had about 115 hours in, but i have the bad habit of leaving the system on when my poor button-mashing thumb needs rest/Surfing the web/TV/dinner.

Fun game, but if it weren't for the achivements, I wouldn't do about 10 of the original modes (Master, god/burning, gundam MkII, and especially Epyon gundams SUCK, and The O/ZZ-gundam are way too slow). Quebeleys and wing zero ftw.

All in all, fun game for a gundam fan. Interesting cutscenes featuring the crossovers (fanfic writer's ---dream), especially master asia's over-the top pwning and the awkwardness felt by everyone in a 10 mile radius of puru.

Please excuse me while I wait for Mobile Ops: The One Year War.

Yeah I just got the 1000 last night. Finshed Original mode with something like 96k kills so I just did a few missions with Haman and got the last kills neeeded.

Does anyone know how to get the max out pilot achievement?? Because i made amuro level 30 i didnt get the achievement.

It should have unlocked the achievement after your next save, if it did not you may have gotten bugged. Since it only takes about 4 hours to max out another character, you could try another charry to 30. I haven't heard of anyone having a problem with that achievement before, sorry :(

I just saw the achievement...shot down 100,000 enemies...that seems painful, how long did it take people who got it?

Yeah the shot down 100,000 seems ridiculous to me. Ive done 64 missions so far and i only have slightly over 30,000. Theres no reason they had to make that total so high:mad:

Took me 40 hours to complete the game (official and original)

then like an additional 3 hours to get to 100,000 kills

I think he means 3 additional hours after getting all the other ones.
But it's still impossible. When I finished everything I still had 40K left. 1000kills/15 min, 15min * 40 (x1000 kills) = 600min = 10 hours.

So pissed off at this game right now..I should have at least 8 achievements for this game but for some reason it froze my achievements. I just got level 30 pilot and finished original mode with any character but didnt not get the achievements. Also finished the gallery for both pilots and gundams and still didnt get the achievements. Highly pissed off...
