the demo surpasses all my expectations (and they are high).

The damage is fantastic, the sound is fantatstic, the cars look fantastic, guess what? EVERYTHINGS fantastic! I mean check out all of the cool telemetry in replay mode, its a dream! And the way opponents battle it out and react to what you do is so cool. As you can tell im excited been waiting (like many people) for this game for almost 3 years! Go Forza 2! Bring on June 8th! Well played the demo today, and first reactions " this is going to be good" after doing the track on all three classes I thought to myself, this is just another racer, yes the graphics are good and its smooth, sounds great feels good, but hey is this game actually worth the time we have been waiting??

This game has to be challenging and good online, I should think so cos thats what took the time,

I guess well see.......

Anyways, the demo gives us a solid taste of the game. Although, many aspect are left out, for us to discover when we get the game, which happens to be in 5 days for me, and a couple week for those in the UK. There are a lot of things left out that are obvious, like the other 280 Cars, and 50 Tracks. But mostly, I'm talking about the little things, that couldve made the demo a hit. I wanted Customization. I wanted to be able to play around with the basic customization features of the game. I also wanted to get a taste of online. But I'll wait. The other thig That I was disappointed in was that the diagram of car status didnt work (Damage Picture). I mean My car was totalled, and the diagram for damage was all gray as if nothing had happened, and the car didnt handled that much differently as I expected it to.

I know Im saying a lot of bad things, but I love the game nontheless, Im not hating, just saying what could be better. Its a game that Ive been waiting forever for, and dont want to be let down...

Have no fear, Turn 10 has stated that damage in the demo would only be cosmetic. You'll just have to wait to limp around the track. :p

Well, some of the achievements look very east judging from the demo.
I have already, Had a Flawless Lap, Flawless Race, Flawless 1st Place Finish with No "Helpers", etc...

So hopefully, they wont be too difficult...

And for those who suck at it (There usually are many) just keep at it, it'll come to you, just get used to the way of turing and watch replays of yourself, to see where yu can improve.

I've never played Forza before, never really played any simulation racing games either. I'm not all that into racing, but I tried the demo and I'm going to preorder it. When I was racing with the faster cars, I found the turns hard to do, then I quit doing it my own way and followed the recommended line and once I got used to it ended up being able to win the races easy. That's one thing I really liked about it, the game is accessible for beginners. Not to mention it's got 300 hundred and something cars.

So I finally get a chance to check out this demo and all I have to say is:

WOW!! WHAT AN OVER RATED PIECE OF....

Way, way, way disappointed. I played it for about an hour. One of my kids thought I was playing Gran Turismo on the xbox.... just as bland - no scenery at all. Car models were pretty -- BUT THAT WAS EXPECTED!! Crashes are nice, but I agree with Maka - I really didn't notice any difference between the handling of a totaled car and a mint car. The overall handling felt good, but again -- THAT WAS EXPECTED!!! Like its already been said... it's just another racer on the 360

This game will be more than regular. Remember it's just a demo. Judging from Froza 1, the other tracks will have lots of scenary, and what are they exactly suppose to do if its modeled after a real life place. They cant just take Laguna Seca and add a waterfall with a tropical forest on the outskirts of some of it. Since it s the demo the Car damage is set to normal. In the game you can change it to realistic and the handling gets a severe change if you hit a wall. I think it looks pretty nice, I mean it's not spectacular, but I dont mind it. Maybe the games expectations were too high? I dont know I like it, maybe because I loved Forza 1, and love realistic racers. Period. I just cant wait for the other 300 cars, 50 tracks, Online play, Customization, damage and tuning every single little thing in my car.

Not to mention make a Porsche do a Wheelie!

This game is tough (or i just suck?). Learning curve is kinda steep (never played the first one) but i absolutely LOVE it. Ive been craving for a realistic race game, and i guess its here. Might be buying that baby. No monnies for the wheel tho :( *cries*.

Once you grab 1st, its prett easy to get good laps...

Yea, My time sucks as I only tried R2 twice. The first time was just a try, and the second was with a friend to show the game off. Sadly he picked the Saleen, which I cant drive.. Thats when I got that time..

yeah, i mean, im not one of those people who are complaining about the demo, i absolutely love the demo and i cannot wait for the game! People who say theres no scenery dont realise that if you went to mugello it would look exactly like in the game, but one think what could be a potential dissappointment are the opponent difficulties.

Now it is really easy to overtake and beat the opponents by about 10 secs in the demo, so i assumed that for the demo the opponents were set on the easiest diff. Not true! The opponent diff on the demo is medium, the second hardest in the game! I just hope the hardest (professional) is a lot harder because i loved forza 1 and i want forza 2 to be challenging! I just hope its hard.

now I have to say thats a dissapointment I thought the difficulty was set on easy cuz I'd be in the lead before the first turn. If thats true there better be a secret difficulty after pro or theres just a major gap between medium and pro. And one other thing that I dont like is the time penatly you get for touching an opponent. I WANT TO BUMP DRAFT. But dont get me wrong I love this game and cant wait for it to come out.

My first impressions awesome racing game but im shocked by some of you saying amazing graphics. Are you serious? I'm running this on 720p on a 70" TV and I have to say jaggies galore. I haven't seen so many jaggies in a really long time. There are so many parts of cars that look rigged and pixely. It's a real shame because the cars look very realistc but then suddenly you see all these jaggies. Biggest shame. Fun though I like it. Maybe it's just my tv or maybe cuz its big enough to notice the flaws? I dont know but when im driving all my cars look jaggie.

I didnt see the jaggies that your talking about but I dont think the graphics are the greatest. But graphics dont make the game. thats why gears of war was so terrible. But I have no doubt this game is gonna kick ass.

Might be the 720p that's giving you the jaggies. I saw a couple spots here and there on mine (1080i on a 56" DLP) but nothing that was shocking. Certainly not bad enough to make me not want to play. We're getting close now too, just got my code for the Fairlady Z this morning.

p.s. You're loony A550, Gears is great. ;)

nice demo but kinda hard to control your vehicle.... I want to buy a racing game and i was thinking about Forza 2 but are there any other racing games like Forza 2? (no,i wont buy NFS Carbon or PGR 3)
