This dude is damn near impossible. Can someone please give me a detailed guide on how to beat this guy? I can only get his health down like 10% before he kills me. And contrary to the achievement guide i am using strictly special moves and he is blocking those as well. My special moved don't hurt him at all WTF? I seem to be hurting him a bit though when i counter his grabs using X. but its not enough. please someone help!

Hey this is my first post here, Lets see if it can be a helpful one.

I just had another go at the Kingpin, What you need to do is build up your rage as you already know, I did this by dodging his atacks and hiting him once or twice so I could get enough rage that i could finish filling it up using "RB", And once your glowing red, start attacking him like you normally would attack someone and you'll find he cant block this.

As far as I can see pressing stuff like "RB" & "Y" while enraged doesn't affect him, so just attack him normally pressing "X" while enraged and I got him down to almost dead, but then he killed me.

Thats exactly what I did, except when you finish a combo, jump up into the air and start hitting X or Y because I found that you'll most likely slam into the ground, which does quite a bit of damage and stuns him for a couple seconds so you can get more hits in.

Well, I just gave it another go. I got past the first part, Then his friends have a go, Then I fought him again & almost killed him when.... The game crashes.

I'm not sure if that's because of the Spring update, or what because that's the first time it has crashed on me. Its shit like that that just makes me not want to continue with this game.

I recommend using the Y button and the LB button to block shots. Once you get rage up, continue the process of LB and Y and you'll get through him pretty easily. An important tactic is to remove your finger off the LB button every so often so you have time to build it back up.

well what i did was just attack him jump in the air and do a air attack on him then jump back up in the air till my rage meter was filled, once it filled i would web him in the air and do my most powerful attacks rince wash and repeat:Bounce:

When hes running at you go into spidey senses. Avoid his attack and press X. Then jump out of the way. Repeat. Once you have a special do Dark ROFL Copter. It is very effective on him. This way might take a little longer, but if you do it right you wont lose any health!!

I just hit him once or twice, dodged his attack, and hit him a few more times and charged up my RB, then went nuts on him in rage mode. rinse and repeat, until he's dead.

i also used that method with venom. only, i'd hit him a few times and instead of dodging, i'd hit pipes to create noise and hit him some more.

The same thing happened to me also! I am about ready to take the game back and say the heck with it. It took too long to whip him for it to freeze up on me at the last second!!!

This is by far one of the easiest bosses in the game. I beat him both times without even being touched (did get hit a few times fighting the three gang bosses though)

Here's how to beat him with a "flawless victory' if you will. I'll just post my exact process.

Get into the room and jump onto a wall and press B to crawl. Keep moving because if you stay still he'll knock you down. As you're crawling press RB as much as you can until your rage is up.

Once you activate the rage, jump down and activate your reflex (LB). Look towards Kingpin and press RB+A. As soon as he hits the ground, jump back onto the wall and press B to crawl.

Rinse and repeat. The only bad part is that it takes a while to fill your rage (I'd say anywhere from 300-500 clicks). But it's a GREAT method if you'd like to go flawless, or you're low on health.

What I did in both fights was I quick attacked (X) while dodging his moves until the rage meter was filled up. Once it was filled up, I stood back, got into rage mode, and then button mashed Y until rage mode was over. You could also just button smash Y while dodging his attacks until rage meters up, get into rage, and more button mash.
I think the Y is more effective IMO. Good luck :D

I've heard the King pin is a pain in the arse, that's why i'm holding off that mission to get as much info on how to beat him quickly. I spent 1hr on the lizard and i dun wanna spend more time on a boss fight.

Well I just managed to beat him with out it crashing this time.

I used the said methods on here, dodge his attacks hit him once or twice, jump away, build up the rage, press "RB" every now and then and when your enraged attack him using "Y" or a combination of "X" "Y"

When hes low down on heath, just part a quarter of the way down, after every time you have enraged attacked him move away from him and look for the "Y" symbol witch when pressed near him will trigger a cut scene where you have to press the indicated buttons as they appear.


I think that is whats causing the crash, the first time I did him and got the crash I was attacking him whilst enraged and i was pressing all the buttons, Pulling him into the air and slamming him around, and when it came to do the "button pressing cut scene" it spazzed out and froze.

So try my above method and see if that helps.

I beat him without getting hit once by simple using LB reflex and hitting X everytime it popped up. I found it to be lame and time consuming but it worked flawlessly in both battles with him. I did also use rage once it built up but only by going into rage mode so that my attacks did more damage never used a special.

I have tried it two ways.
1.) Counter him while he tries to hit you and get maybe 1 or 2 punches in after that. Then jump above him and hit him from the back. Then just keep jumping over him (to his back side) until rage fills up
2.) Hit him a couple of times get rage up. Jump on ceiling, get rage up by pressing RB, then going back down to boost it up a bit. Then finally going into rage and once you use it up repeat.

I have figured out that either way you do it getting Rage is a MUST, you are just wasting your time with the regular attacks because they just don't do very much. One thing is for sure though, this will take a good bit of time because getting hit by his head butts hurt a lot.

Because of you guys, I beat him in one try.
- Dodge -> Y (repeat)
- Rage
- Combo during rage

REPEAT... I didn't lose much health (less than 25%).

I beat him yesterday by going into rage mode, jumping in the air and web pulling him up in the air then pound the heck out of him. He'll lay on the ground for a bit and you can jump up and pull him back in the air about 3 times before the rage goes away. Rinse and repeat. :woop:

My best advice to you would be to quick attack him three of four times, then jump into the air, and quick attack him whilst in the air, then repeat.

Button sequence: (X)(X)(X)(X), (A)(X), (X)(X)(X)(X), (A)(X)...

(Whenever possible, go into rage mode and just leather him)

It would also help (alot) if you use your spider reflexes (LB) as you will automatically dodge any punched that he might get to throw.

I had so much trouble with this fight, I must have hit retry a dozen times. I was using some strategy off gamefaqs. It was garbage. This fight is unbelievably easy its almost ridiculous. All you have to do is this: Dont use your dodge/slow motion and strafe around him in circles. Make sure you always have room behind you, in otherwords make sure there isnt a wall behind you. King pin will do a lunge attack, its his primary attack. All you have to do is keep dodging this attack by moving backwards away from him with your slow motion dodge when you see the yellow attack icon over his head. Keep doing this and tapping your rage meter in conjunction. The rage fills up really quickly like this, then just use your rage as soon as its filled. Now as soon as youre in rage all you have to do is literally just button mash the Y button until your rage runs out and then repeat. IT ISNT A SPECIAL MOVE. Just literally mash Y button (heavy attack) when in rage mode and he cant deal with this attack, I dont know if its a glitch or what. Sometimes he even bounces around like a rag doll from this method and you can just pound on him. Do this when you fight him the second time too, except its much easier because youre in a more wide open space and he cant back you into walls for cheap damage. If you do get backed into a wall I found that trying to do a slow motion dodge is futile, you cant move backwards away from him. All you should do is hit the dodge and mash JUMP button in this case.
