Level 4 - Hard Mode

Hiya all,

Just need a bit of advice on the final area of level 4 - where you need to defend the base when helicopters are landing. On easy and normal this was easy, but on hard is seems slightly harder - not that I have tried loads of times, I've just died 3 times here.

What strategy do you guys use, as I seem to be totally surrounded by a load of spread out enemies. The torando now does bugger all on Hard mode too :(

Don't bother with the tornado, just use your Raven magic and run straight up to guys, pumping them in the chest with the machine gun. Focus fire until one is dead and switch to the next one. You should be able to kill a copter-full of bad guys before the ravens are done, then just move on to the next one.

You know, that's how I played the first few difficulties, but then on Chaos I actually fell in love with using the rifle with elemental shot. Few shots of that and they burst into flames for an instant kill. I could do this from a distance safely and naturally I used Raven's panic when it got hectic. At a distance the gatlin gun is just so in accurate it was painful. I pretty much retired my gatlin gun for the entire last difficulty.

there are a lot of ways to beat this. ravens panic, tornado, element shot, whatever you fell comfortable with. i just waited till most of them landed and threw the rose spear(lvl 3) at them. that should instantly kill 3-5 of them and then i just used the element shot from a distance to pick off the remaining ones.

Just finished hell mode and what i do is beef up element fire with the main gun tornado on the first copter then fire at the enemys till your meters up and repeat.

thx for tips people. I upgraded the elemental to level 3 and owned everythibng with it. Did it first go. Just the last level now and hard mode is mine ;)

wohoo. This game gets better as you go along. Just finished hard mode and its was way more fun, unlocked the full power up too :) I'm up to level 3 in Chaos mode, hope its doesn't get stupidly hard.

I totally agree with you. Elemental shot all the way for the machine gun. definitely the way to go. Hell mode was much easier with it.

Yes one of the best tips I found on this site was the ravens magic followed up with elemental fire it works awesome. also running and jumping as fast as you can does not hurt either:p
