How do i find missons?

I see alot of people have there first achievements are defeat this enemy but i had to turn off my 360 half way through the training missions and when i turned it back on i couldnt continue with training so i dont know how to find people to defeat also how do u swing on a pole? Ive just been doing the spidey sense missons where the police are chasing people on the street there getting a bit boring already, cheers for the help boys
