Want all the achievements? Read this WARNING

I have completed all the missions and side missions in this game. i also beat 100% of all gangs which unlockes a great health upgrade (not that you need it after finishing the game). During normal game play i only did 183 swinging miles and didnt get the top speed swing either but i did do 9 races and got gold after many many attempts. then turned the 360 off after saving. today turned it on and tokens collected, miles swung, swing speed, crime fought and missions had been reset back to 0.

So in short make sure u do everything BEFORE you complete the game or you will have to do it all again.

Your welcome. i just thought i'd let ppl know before they have to start all over again. perhaps a mod can make this a sticky so everyone gets the warning before its too late for them too.

I probably wont be doing anything else on this game for quite some time now coz its pi**ed me off lol.

no problem mate. my advice would be to just leave 1 mini mission (conner mission ect..) till u have all achievements

hmm i can say ive went throught htat ive beatin the game not a 100% but beat it and stuff and i just go back and find tokens and do my races and stuff. (the only achivements im left to get the races and a few lil ones as well) i unno i might restart with the black suit. maybe after i finish all the token achivements lol

yea i turned it off and back on
and it went into the game like i was continueing on but imma play in the black suit to get some of the rest of the achivements

ok i have just read the other thread and had a thought. the warning i have given isnt correct. but my game has glitched. it loaded me in the black suit even tho i never chose to wear it after completing the game.

Sometimes when you lose connection to Xbox Live a glitch can occur where you will lose all your achievements for a specific game. Generally all you need to do is sign your profile off of Live, back on, and then reload your save. I will say that there has been a 90% success rate when doing this. I have not ever seen it happen with Spider-Man 3, but I did get it to happen on TMNT and spoke to a few people and came up with this "work around". Generally when this happens, something glitchy occurs. In a case of Black-Suited Spider-Man being available, it should go away after you load your game again after a power down. Hope this helps, well, somewhat helps =p

easy way to get the 500 point photograph achievement is go to the pause menu, go to the extras tab then select Arena and do the first Arena fight, you should be confronted with about 6 Ninja guys, get into a position that you can take a pic of all 6, then take it ... i got 535 points on my first picture.

Glad this has been figured out, because that would have been really lame on their part. Crackdown and Superman Returns both had free-roam after the story-mode was over, so I figured this would run the same... sorry to hear about your troubles though, DTA.

Edit: It appears the game tracks your stats for red Spidey seperate from black Spidey, so just make sure you're playing in the same suit to get everything done.

cheers guys. i have resolved my problem now. sorry for the false warning but better to be safe then sorry. it is infact just a glitch so if any of you find that this has happened to you just go to playable characters and choose red spidey. seems obvious i know but i didnt even notice i was black spidey coz i didnt choose him. happy gaming :woop:

Still... the developers should have made the same stats for both the suits. What if I wanted to continue playing as blackie but had most of my things quests completed on the red??

Damn man that really sucks, i played it friday for a few hours and stopped playing as it done my head in, i may play the game another time when i can get my head around it. TY for the heads up.

thanks for these tips/warnings. when i get the game i at least know now that i can only stick to one costume, otherwise i will loose my stats for the other costume.

You can switch back to the red spidey and it will be at the same point in progress. I had this same freak out when I switched to black spiderman after beating the game. You don't lose your progress.

So, to sum up...can I complete all the missions as red spidey and then, as long as I stay in the red costume, I can finish off all the other achievements after (races, swinging miles, etc?)

Yes, after you have completed the game as red spidey, you can switch back and forth between black and red. You will still have all your progress saved on red, and can get your achievements using either.

yea, thanks for the warning man. I would have thrown the game into my blender and drank it down with a smoothie if that happened to me!!!
