Help with PC install

I throw myself at the mercy of the admin's as for whether this thread lasts, but i really need help. I bought my copy of Fallout 3 yesterday and it IS legit. I run the game install and it installs with no problems and the game runs. But it never asked me for the key that was included with the game and whenever I try to connect to LIVE it will not let me due to invalid key. How do I add my valid key? What's wrong with my game? Please help!

Hate to bring up old threads, but i figured it out. Was something incredibly small, I couldn't believe it. The amount of responses i received makes it clear how many were concerned that I couldn't play. haha.
