Media Forum FAQ

This FAQ was made for anybody who had any questions and wanted a quick answer...

Where are some good places to get my images hosted?

The following links are the best free services for hosting images. You can upload from many different formats. (jpeg, jpg, png, gif, bmp, tif, tiff, swf)
ImageShack (http://www.imageshack.us/)
Tinypics.com (http://www.tinypics.com/)
Photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com/)

How do I post a image?

To post an image on the forum, you will need the image hosted on a internet server, not just on your computer. (Need a good imagehost, look above)
Once you have the image hosted, you will need to know the link of the image. Say my image that I wanted to post was here...
http://www.google.com/images/firefox/google.gif (http://www.oryan-design.com/banner.jpg)

Now all we have to do is click the button above the text box that looks like this http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/images/bgold/editor/insertimage.gif. You will be prompted to insert a URL. Once done, your image should put up in the textfield.

EXAMPLE:
http://www.google.com/images/firefox/google.gif

How do I post this image as a Link?

If you wish to link the image to a website, this is what you have to do...

First place the image into the textfield using the tutorial above. Once the image is placed, highlight the image. Once that is done, click the http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/images/bgold/editor/createlink.gif button. You will be prompted to insert a URL. After you make your post, the image will be linked to the website thats desired.

EXAMPLE:
http://www.google.com/images/firefox/google.gif (http://www.google.com)

How come I am getting this wierd Red "X" when I post my picture?

There are a few different reasons why.... Either,

- The site hosting your image on, could be down
- You mispelled the Image Link (URL)
- The server does not allow outside linking meaning that you can't use them to host images to be used on another site (Best thing to do is find another host)

How the hell do I add something funky to my signature?
