oh come on ppl, the second one wasn't that bad. it certainly didn't live up to its potential but you all should have realized that would happen with it. it was basicly a filler movie to tye the story plot from the first one to the third one. and it did that just fine. sure, it could have been alot better but like minty says in trilogies the second one always falls short. this new one though...... will be the complete bomb.

everyone here should start to live by my rule of trilogies. only see the 1st and 3rd in theatre or DvD but for the second one just wait for it to come on Tv or for a foolish friend to buy it =-)

I saw it on the first possible showing , Thursday May 24th at 8 pm, it was AWESOME. Except for all the freaking NOOBS dressed like pirates in the theatre lol. Anyway yea my favorite character is Barbossa he is crazy and i think its fucking hilarious when he laughs while hes doing crazy shit. I dont understand how people dont enjoy movies about Pirates!! cmon pirates are sweet! :)

I saw it the other day, and honestly, I didn't think it was that good. The storyline seemed a little too complicated at first, and there was too much going on at once at one point.

Don't get me wrong, compared to most of the crap that's being released, the film was good. However, comparing this film to other "greats" and the previous two in the trilogy, it just didn't live up to expectations.

It's not one of those films that you want to go to the cinema to see again, unlike 300. :p


Oh, and for the record; Yes, Keria is a slammin' hottie!

I just saw this film. It was ok but i personally thought the first one was better. Too much going on at once for my liking! The special effects were very cool though!

I thought it was ok but nowhere near as good as the first. If Depp hadn't have been in it then it would probably have been pretty crap. I think it got too cheesey for its own good, the scene with Bloom & Knightley in the final battle was so stupid I was hoping someone would either shoot them in the head or shoot ME in the head to put me out of my misery. Why do they have to ruin a good film with crappy romance plots? Oh and for anyone waiting for the extra scene at the end of the credits - it's only worth seeing if you're interested in the Bloom/Knightley plot. Chow Yun Fat was cool though as usual!

X-2 was the best in the trilogy and Spidey 2 was best! for the most part I agree that the second is usually not as good but I like Empire Strikes Back:drunk I am seeing this movie tommorow and hopefully it is good.

watched it on sunday and came to the conclusion that this was definately the weaker of the 3 !! As much as i enjoyed it - i did find my mind wandering a bit coz it was on way too long !!

I found it easy to understand. The movie was long but my mind didnt wonder once. I was into the whole movie.

Then again I watch ALOT of movies and Tv. So I'm use to setting in front of a screen for Hours on end without losing focus.

The movie in my opinion was pretty good. I'll probably always prefer the 1st one just because it was AMAZING. But I think the trilogy was very well written. It was worth the $5.25 I paid to watch it. And I'll be buying it on Dvd the day its released.

I also prefer 2 hr + movies - it just seemed this movie did'nt flow as good as the previous 2, and i imagined davy jones locker would have been a bit better !!

I thought it was a fitting conclusion to the series. The second is still my favorite, but all three are consistent in their "feel" and "tone" at least, unlike the Matrix trilogy.

I think the reason the second is my favorite is because the whole design of the Flying Dutchmen, Davey Jones, & his crew was just so imaginative and stunning, nothing could really match that (even though Shipwreck Cove was pretty cool).

It was worth it for spectacles sake but overall i'm kinda dissapointed. It lacks the simplicity to the adventure that 1 had that went so well with the visual effects ride. The third one kinda made me feel tired of the whole thing and wanting to go back to the first. It was like watching the scriptwriters sitting in a room and with every convoluted plot detail/twist/quirk they pat each other on the back for just how fucking genious they are. Like a bunch of drunk frat boys solving a rubicks cube.

At least it was still entertaining on a bang for your buck level, I just wish they'ld leave it alone now and making something else cause I would've prefered to remember their oh so memorable characters as they were in the first.
