Yo legion if you don't mind can you help me with distinguishing the differences between:

SMG,needler, spikers, assault rifle i mean there all machine gun type guns but they are basically the same except SMGs and spikers can dual weild. Sorry for noob question I just want to know the differences of all the weapons

1. The SMG - a weapon meant for close range combat(usually dual weilded). It's rapid rate of fire makes it the perfect counter to someone coming at you up close with an Assault rifle. It also counters the spiker, and plasma rifle.

2. The Needler - While having been removed from the "dual weildable" class of weapon like it was in halo2, the Needler has recieved a significant damage boost and better homing abilities. A steady aim on the target will send purple needles blistering through your opponent even from long range!

3. The Spikers - The newest of all Halo weaponry, the Spiker (dual weilded) makes a deadly combination while indoor fighting. Dual spikers will shoot a steady and extremely rapid burst of hot spikes into your opponent. The weapons counter the assault rifle, as well as all other dual weildable weapons. However, trying to use this weapon from long range is NOT a good idea.

4. The Assault Rifle - the new starting weapon for Halo3. Where the assault rifle lacks in ammo, it makes up for with its medium range capabilities AS WELL AS a very strong melee attack. What it comes down to, when using the Assault rifle, is how best you decide to use your grenades, melee, and AR ammo to tip the fight to your favor (anyone remember the viddoc? ;) )

Hope that answers your question Krazy Killer, i know it was me not l3gion answering you but i figured i could help out. After all, halo3 is my game :)

EDIT***
L3gion - You should consider expanding the information on the online multiplayer portion of your post. Now that the beta is out and Gamepro has confirmed many other details of the new multiplayer, you should consider adding in the facts that:
1. Players will now be able to fully customize their online spartan character, including different armor, colors, and emblems.
2. New vehicles will be included such as the brute chopper.
3. Custom games have been given an INCREDIBLE amount of new options including: super speed, gravity control, player traits and appearance (such as players appearing on fire if they are in the lead) , infinite ammo, immunity to headshots, and indestructable vehicles :)

Did you copy and paste that from somewhere? I want to know what the actual game disk case for the Legendary edition will be. I really like the metal case for the limited edition and I would prefer that over a plastic case. I think I'd also prefer an actual hard-back art book over a disc with art that I view on my TV. I might be changing my order to limited because it seems like the only main advantage of Legendary is a plastic helmet I can't wear.

I have a question, is Halo3 going to be region free. I need to know because I am not sure if pre-ordering it is smart or not. Have a US 360 but live in Holland. So If I can play a PAL Halo on my NTSC console that would be great. What where the previous Halo's? Thanks Bas

Why, exactly, is this stickied? I mean, no offense, but you didn't say anything that can't be found out on Walmart's website, and , I think we can all agree, most Halo fans already knew all of this. It sounds to me like it's nothing more than an advertisement than what is usually allowed on this forum.

This was posted in April. All new game info is Stickied so that everyone can see it when it comes out. Usually stays stickied, because despite the fact that there are a lot of Halo Heads here, not everyone who plays the 360 plays Halo, and a lot of people probably don't know anything about it. This is their one stop shop for that info.

Almost every game has a stickied thread titled: Game Info
Not everyone has played Halo before.
