Mmmmm......I don't want to buy the game, but this.....this is tempting me to do so. Being a huge Rush fan, I'm glad to see them put into ANY game, but having the entire 20 minute epic just reeks of awesomeness!

2112 won't be as "epic" as you make it out to be. Of course, I'm geeking out at the fact that the whole song is on ANY music game, but apparently between each of the 7 parts is a little transition piece that separates one part from another, which will make it all broken up. I only heard of this today, and I hope it's a rumor, but if it is; then it won't be as awesome as it could've been :(

If it's true, in breaking the song up into 7 parts, it'll probably be to accommodate for those FC nerds. Because honestly, who could go through all of 2112 without messing up..? Oh, here's to hopes that RB picks up 2112 or the whole album at that to respond to this, or even make an entire RB: Rush! :]

yeah its been confirmed it's broken into the 7 parts. apparently they wanted to include it as one 20ish minute song as well but they were basically out of space on the disc so it wasn't an option- and they didn't want it to only be the 20 minute version since it'd be a pain in the ass online. best you can do is make a playlist with all 7 parts and play through like that.

would have been better to see 2112 in Rock Band, because I prefer the drums 10000000x more than the GH Drums... but im still excited. it is really lame though that they are breaking up the song into seven parts. I would have loved for them to have it in one song. Probably would have been an achievement too haha to complete the song on expert.. wouldnt it just seem like it? haha

2112 is the track(s) you play to get the 'legendary guitar' during quest..

"To obtain the legendary guitar -- a critical step en route to vanquishing the Beast -- you have to play through the entirety of Rush's "2112." That tune is over 20 minutes long. Thankfully, you don't have to do it all at once. Neversoft broke the song up into seven parts, each with a cutscene that feels straight out of the future from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. All told, it took about a half of an hour to win the guitar, and thus bring to a close my first taste of the new Quest Mode."

Cool reward for playing through it, but would be totally cooler if you had to rock out the whole thing.. thats neversoft for you,.. your on this quest to obtain the axe to vanquish satan or something,... but its nap time so dont worry about it, finish this epic song later.. pfff

We've already practiced it ...I know real instrurments aren't like the GH ones, but it's a blast of a song.
Wish it was out this week. Got 8 tix for them here in columbus Ohio. It will be my 25th time seeing them since the Presto tour (taking my 4 yr old daughter that can do the roll the bones rap section...LOL)

Biggest fan inthis area. I have all but 3 of their vinyls signed by all 3 of them, 5 cd's and 9 of the ticket stubs...

the way they have it is sweet... it's commentated on a by a RUSH member before you play each part.. kind of the story behind the song.

GOOD part is you don't have to go through the entire story line to get to it.. about 25% B4 YOU GET IT....
