i have just got the new xbox last night and i cant recover my gamertag. I have delated it from my old xbox. it just keep saying email address or password is wrong but it is not. why cant i recover it

Have you tried recovering it to your old xbox?

You need your email address from Microsoft Live and password. It's usually a hotmail addy.

i have traded it in now but before i traded it in i delated and recoverd it to see if password and that was right. then delated it

You need the one you registered with your Gamer Tag.

There might be a way to recover it, getting sent a new one, but I can't remember how, sorry.

Go to http://passport.net to reset your password.

If all else fails, you'll have to contact Xbox Support
